For all us mini-van Moms out there

My minivan always has crayons and french fries in the door track and melted crayons in the third row seats. UGH!

THis made me think of when our van was "detailed". So funny. We pulled our then 6-year old van into the shop which was full of luxury vehicles. What we were most excited about was that they cleaned all the door tracks . . . . amazing! Best $300 we ever spent! Maybe it's that time again as the van is now 8; has made seven Disney trips with almost 102K!

I have a full size van and it is the same thing. This is why I won't
buy a new one, only used.

I have banned all food in the van unless we are on a long trip. The van now stays fully neat while we are at home. Unfortunately we travel a lot and the chips and drinks and such make a huge mess not to mention the toys and coloring stuff they bring for entertainment. And the vidoes all over after a trip. I sent them out a couple days ago after returning from a long weekend to clean it out. They came back in with a kitchen size trash bag full of stuff. I went out to check and it looked like they had not done a thing!!!!!!

The only reason I don't ban food on long trips is that it would take us FOREVER to get anywhere we already stop for 1 hour every 2 hours.

And BTW, those CLEAR capri sun drinks may be clear coming out, but after a couple of days on the carpet, they are black!!!!

Don't forget the melted crayons left in the side compartments or on the carpeted floor.

The only reason I don't ban food on long trips is that it would take us FOREVER to get anywhere we already stop for 1 hour every 2 hours.

I even banned food & drink (except water) on our 13 hour trips to Disney.
We stop about every 4 hours for food & a bathroom break. No way is anyone making a food mess in my van.

Well, this past spring, 2 weeks before our WDW trip, DH said he couldn't stand another long car trip without food & drink, so he traded in his Jeep & bought a huge Denali. He said we'd now be taking that on our trips & that the family could eat in THIS vehicle. Fine by me....as long as it's not my van! Let the crumbs fall where they may...onto his leather seats.
