For all us DVCers going to WDW in early DEC the park hours are now posted

Well since this is a very popular time for DVCers to head to WDW - the official WDW website has the DEc 2002 hours up. Out of curiosity - Who is going to be at the World sometime during the 1st 2 weeks of Dec? and what DVC resort? I'll start
Myself DH Rick DD 7y/o Alaina and new addition to our family DS 6y/o Alexander - We are staying at VWL dec1-7 and we can't wait - I love all the beautiful decorations all over WDW - it's beyond MAGICAL!

We will be there for DISCon that week - You should join us. There will be plenty of DIS folks there, many will be DVC. (My DS-7, Matt will be there too)

the hours do not look right - Epcot at 9:30pm - I really don't think it will be open that late - especially since Thankgiving isn't.

and the OLS at the Studios is definitely not right.

EPCOT changes to a closing time of 9:30 pm on the days that the Candlelight Processional is performed. That is so the last performance of CP doesn't interfer with Illuminations. It's been that way for at least the past three years. If you look at the November hours, you will see EPCOT also closes at 9:30 pm on 11/29 and 11/30. CP begins on 11/29.

I agree that the 12 am time for the Lights is probably incorrect. I suspect that it will be updated sometime soon. But wouldn't it be nice if you really could walk through the Lights until midnight??

We are also DVCers the will be at WDW for DIS CON Dec 4 -8...There are quite a few of us going....even if you don't want to join us for the official events (think about it though) there is lots of unofficial mini meets going on that week to meet other DISers at.....take a look at this info that my Zurg put togther...

Thanks for the heads up on the hours - I've been checking periodically and was wondering when they'd get around to posting them. And incidentally, Epcot does stay open a half hour later between Thanksgiving and Christmas - at least it has for the past several years.

Also look at when Fantasmic starts 6:00pm, but the park closes at 7:00pm - I though Fantasmic was like Illiumniations and did not start until the park closes - am I wrong? Or is because of the OFSL?

I am going to some of the min-meets - but I have prior connection to alot of the time that DIs con is going to happen. So I can't see paying $220 and only be able to go to a couple of the things - sorry.

We will be there Dec 7th to 13th, but........ won't be staying at a DVC (used all the points up!!). We are staying at All-star Music for 3 nights, then AKL for 3 nights thanks to Mousesavers.com info on codes using a AP code!!!! Beth

I think they have Fantasmic at 6:00pm so that people can see the Osborne Lights afterwards. Osborne Lights usually starts at 6:00.

We (DH Wade, DD Kaylee 4, and myself) at OKW Dec 2-11th. It is our first trip this time of year, and we are looking forward to getting into the Chirstmas spirit!

Glas to see that EE (or whatever they are calling it now) is back! It is a must for us and MK!

I saw the hours posted last night for the Studios and it listed Osborne Family Lights at 12:00 AM (Midnight??) !!!! I figured this must be a mistake and when I checked just now it doesn't list them at all. Anyone know what's going on?

We are going the first week in December, too, and staying at BCV and OKW.

Mrs. Zurg-I have not had a chanct to look at the sight you referenced, but I definately will. Thanks for the info.

This may be a new thread, but I was just thinking-how are the point values based for DVC? If we all keep going in Dec. will this cause early Dec. to jump from value to choice or some other high season? I know that would mean a shift elsewhere in points. How is this determined?

We (me, dh, 7yo ds and 2yo dd) will be at the VWL on 11/28 and 29, moving to the BWV (where my parents will join us) for 11/30 to 12/7, then (after parents head home) we spend 3 nights at the Polynesian and then 3 more nights at OKW. Doing the grand tour this time...lol.

Hope to see many of you there. I'll be carrying my backpack with green ribbons tied to the zipper pulls....or my dh will...or it will be hanging on our stroller.

Count us in. Our orignial plans were to be at VWL from Dec 1-13. My brother and sister in law will join us from Dec 1-Dec 8th. My parents will overlap that trip and be there from Dec 6-Dec 13. Of course...
we got the Disney itch when we found out my dh has Thanksgiving and the day after off. So...The four of us called and got a room at Coronado Springs for Nov 29th and 30th. Then we'll move over to VWL and start entertaining family.

Now that I think about it...we leave NEXT MONTH!!

Hi! We (my husband and I) will also be at Disney then and attending DIS CON! We arrive at BWV on Nov 30 and check out on Sat. We will then stay one night some where else for the the end of DIS CON(most likely the Swan). We have also decied to bring my nephew (4yrs old) with us and his mom will join us on Wed. But, they will not be doing DIS CON with us.
I am so excited to finally meet some of the names I have been seeing on this board!
