For all those getting the free dining...Did you change your dates?

We are going in late October till November 19th. We were wondering if anyone had planned to vacation during that time but changed their dates because they wanted to get the free dining?


Did you go earlier than planned to get the free dining?

Yes, we were going to go alone, no kids, in december, but when this offer came out, I just figured it was something we couldn't pass up.

We actually scheduled our vacation because of it. We were going to wait until Nov 2006. I saw the deal and called my DH and jokingly suggested we go. He said yes and I said ok. I'm so excited. We're going to be there for my youngest DD's birthday and I got PS for the Castle. I can't wait to see thier faces when I tell them we get to eat breakfast with Cinderella at the castle. All this has happened in the last couple of days so I'm still floating on a cloud.

We went from, "wouldn't it be fun to go to WDW again" to "Honey I saved us $90 a night" when the code came out. We had decided that IF we got the PIN we would go (we passed on a PIN earlier this year). IF not we were going to go next fall. With any luck we will also go next fall

We are supposed to be saving for our anniversary trip to Europe (Italy and Greece and maybe Germany or France) but my sister is adopting twins this fall and she was going to watch my kids while we went to Europe... so I think that plan will need to be put off at least a year.

Our story is almost the same as purple pixie. We had no trip planned. We were actually going to wait until 2006 since we were just there in Jan. But this deal came up, and off we go. We will be there for my DD's 2nd birthday and we're keeping our fingers crossed for breakfast at the Castle. And I just found out yesterday, we''ll be there for one of the MNSSHP, it doesn't get any better.

I actually had a trip planned for July 31- Au 10th, But with this deal we changed our dates to Aug 21- July 31, and we upgraded and reallocated where our Hoop Dee Doo Revue money to either a illuminations cruise or a Wishes cruise!

We were debating between taking the kids out of school in early Dec. or go (for the fourth year straight) during fall break (week of Columbus Day). Then this package came out and we decided to take the kids out of school the week before fall break (Oct. 1 - Oct. 8) so we could get in on this deal. It's just too good to pass up! Now I'm trying to figure out costumes (again).

Oh, if only I could! We would love to take advantage of the free dining, but our schedules just won't allow us to change our dates. We're going Oct 13-24. Maybe lots of others will back up their dates and our week will be less crowded!

We weren't going at all this year. With the adoption expenses and the planning we just decided to pass, BUT when this deal came out we booked! How could we NOT. We are going for 9 nights and the cost for 3 adults and one teenager is under 2000 dollars.

Free dining- It is a code that is out right now with dates through Oct 4th. Book a room for 3+ nights and add MYW tickets for each person (any length, even 1 day) and get for free the new dining plan.

The cost of the dining plan is $35 a night adult/Jr and $10 a night child. So for my family that is a savings of $90 a night!!!

Dining plan includes one Table service meal, one counter service meal and a snack for each person each night of your stay.

This might be a silly question but is there any way to get the free dining if we already have MYW tickets?? I bought 7-day non-exp just prior to our trip last week knowing we would be coming back again later this year and again next year. Our trip last week was a mini-vacation and we only used 2 theme park days - if I had known about the free dining plan offer I probably would have held off buying the 7-day but I'm assuming I'm SOL since it sounds like the tickets are automatically part of the MYW package.

Jeannie, I just answered this on the Budget Board but the answer to your question is "no." BUT if everyone in your party buys only a ONE DAY MYW ticket, it makes it a package and then you qualify for the free dining. Use that one day and save one of the others on your 7 day hoppers for the future.
