We usually stay at Riverside but going to French Qtr this time. I have noticed in the past the boats are full by the time they hit french qtr, is this still a problem? What were the bus wait times like? Thanks.

the boat stops at FQ then RS then FQ again before going to DD. We always got on the boat at the first stop . I like the ride.

In June the bus waits were not too long. Good news is the bus picks up first & drops off first at FQ.

Just of curiosity ... is there bus service to DTD as well as the boat?

yes there is a bus as well as the boat transportation. While the other buses stop at the POFQ first the DTD bus stops at the POR first.

ok - well i usually don't say anything bad about disney - really i think they do a great job with meeting everyone's needs. But on my last trip the boats were a big problem. One night we came back to the resort (POFQ) early so we could take the boat down to downtown disney. Well we got down to the dock as one boat was pulling away - there were a few people that were still waiting because that boat was too full...we asked a CM that was there if we would get on the next boat and he got on his radio and said the captain is currently picking up people at riverside and said he should have plenty of room - so we waited 15 minutes later the boat pulls in and the driver says - we only have room for two - i said to him well we've been here 30 minutes already (this was echoed by the others as well) and he rather rudley kinda said oh well your problem not mine closed the gate and jumped on his boat. At that point we decided the heck with this let's go catch the bus - well 25 minutes later no DTD bus - so we went back to the dock - amazingly some of the same people were still waiting aparently the boat kept filling up at Riverside and there was no room for anyone - many walked all the way to Riverside just so they could get on - FINALLY we manage to squeeze in and get down there - total travel time one hour and 40 minutes - we aren't the kind that let anything ruin our vaca so we kept smiling - but i guess my recomendation would be either walk down to Riverside and jump on there - or plan some extra travel time (i'm sure "most" nights everything goes well - but that night must have been a bad one)
