For 9/12 checkin, how do I book for the discount?

It seems like Disney usually does the free dining discounts during the school years, but it hasn't been announced yet for this fall.

I am ready to book now, but I don't want to cut myself off from getting a discount.

Planning a 2 adult, 7 day, Pop Century stay with Deluxe Dining in mid September. I want to get my restaurant reservations in ASAP.

How should I book it now to get a future discount when offered?

First of all, you cannot make dining reservations more than 180 days out, so if you are going in mid-September the earliest you could reserve is in mid-March.

Second, I would suggest going over to the Restaurants Forum for more assistance.

Third, if you will be staying at a Disney owned and operated Resort you may make all of your reservations (but not more than ten days worth) 180 days from your date of arrival even if you are booked room-only.

And, of course, if you are going to go for "free" dining and stay at Pop, you would only qualify for the Quick Service Dining Plan and would have to pay to upgrade to either regular or deluxe DDP.

Calling Disney is the easiest way.

Since free dinning has not been announced, all you will have to do is call and have your reservation changed, if free dinning becomes available. You can do this at anytime before your reservation is paid in full.

This is the same time and resort that we usually stay at and I have always been able to make the change and pay the difference to upgarde the dinning.

BTW, they said as long as the requirements of the promotion are met (dates/availability), it can be (only if requested, not automatically) applied to fully paid packages with the difference refunded to my card.
