So we made it down at about 5:30pm yesterday. Everything was fine until about 15 minutes from Disney. I4 was jammed. Still made decent time.

12 days WOO HOO!!!
B is living it up her last month. Her and a friend rented a room at bay lake tower the other night.
Lol. She also been hitting a lot of Epcot and mk restaurants. Since it got "cold" she don't get those long shifts because ice cream isn't open as long. her and a friend went to liberty tree last Tuesday for thanksgiving. They were both scheduled to work thanks giving. When they went in Wednesday they were told they had thanksgiving off!!! There department had turkey and all the trimming so they went to work to eat!!! Lol poor kid.

HAVE A NICE TRIP!!! ILL SHOVEL YOUR DRIVEWAY FOR YOU WHILE YOUR GONE! :thumbsup2

Well, it looks like you didn't have to shovel my snow after all. LOL

We left home Thursday, November 21 at 6:30 pm and got down to Cocoa Beach by Friday the 22 at 8:30 pm. That was with a nap at a Rest Stop in North Carolina and a stop at South of the Border and a gas stop that had a store with a lot of Kitchey stuff. We found Metal advertisement signs for Indian Scout motorcycles. Our son just bought a house that has a barn with a garage that was used as an Indian motorcycle shop. We found 4 different signs. Also Mustang signs. I felt like I hit the jackpot. I just started looking through the signs and had just asked if they possibly had anything like that (they had hundreds of different things) and I pulled the next one forward and there it was. Kept looking and found the others. Great Christmas present. Can't wait for him to see them. He found a Matchbook on E-Bay for the place, but they wanted $45 for it. He sent me the picture and I am going to Photoshop it and print that for him, too. His DS is an artist and he wants her to paint a picture of the place the way it was originally. His neighbor has pictures.

Sorry I went off on a story. Driving time, minus sleep, was about 20 hours. We both drove switching off about every 3-4 hours with him doing the majority. I95 was no problem. There was 1 accident, but it didn't block traffic.

On the way home we left AKLV at 9:30 am and got home at 4:30 pm today. We drove till 12:30 am and slept in a Rest stop in Virginia till 7:30 am. Got breakfast and gas and hit the road again. Stopped at Cabelas for about 2 hours and got home about 4:30 pm today. Total approx. time for trip home, minus sleep & stop over at Cabelas - 22 hours. The trip home was uneventful. No problems on I4, I95, I 81, I78 or 22 till we got to 15th Street exit. We were hitting rush hour and with the road work at MacArthur Road traffic was backing up. We got off there and went home the back way.

As we get older it is taking more time and more time sleeping to refresh. This trip was my 60th Birthday (on Thanksgiving Day) Disney Fantasy Cruise & 2 days at AKLV Kidani in a Studio for 2 nights after. Got to hear Gary Senise at the CP 6:45 show. We were near the front off to the side so we couldn't see him. The show was amazing. After the show we stood at the back and waited for the next show and DH got pictures of Gary from back there. The trip was very relaxing and exciting, but I'm still glad to be home. I miss my kitties and my kids.

We only go 5 - 10 mph over the speed limit and most of the time not even that. I think that is why we end up with higher times, too.

As the determined founder of this thread, it is my responsibility to make regular round-trip drives to WDW. :drive:

And, of course, these drives help us close the gap between our total round-trip drives and dvczerfs' impressive trip total [see post #1 on page #1 of this thread]. To be sure, we will never catch him! :lmao:

Now then, next week it will be time for drive #31. And is there a chance we might actually cross paths with the distinguished shardoc? :rolleyes1

Our countdown continues... :hyper:

All the best. :thumbsup2

Only a bit, we assure you. :worship:

And what is amazing on your signature is the total number of days spent at WDW! It's over a year! :woohoo:
We have been computing our Disney Days (WDW+DLR) and either we have broken the 365 day mark or will with this upcoming journey. (We are having a difficult time estimating the days on our pre-1997 visits.)

We hope to cross paths with a certain CM if she is working when we are there.

All the best. :thumbsup2

she would love it!!!! just text me when your planning on going to the mk and I can give you an idea where she will be. she graduates on December 10th from the program and gets her ears from the boss!!!!! ill post some pics when I get them. she works till January 3rd. lol

let me tell you how I was able to figure out how many days. Tammy and I got married in 1984 so I have all our tickets stubs (they use to hand date stamp the tickets when you went thru the turnstile) my sister was cleaning out some old boxes that she had that where my parents after my dad past away. my dad was head of accounting for a cement manufacturing company and he kept records of household expenses like you would a business. :rotfl2:
he kept tract of the tickets he purchased!!!vacation budgets, hotels you name it!!!! two day. three day tickets at first so all I had to do is go back 11 years and I had it!!! I have all our welcoming packs from 1999, add them all together and im over 400 days. I figured it out a few years ago. my mil said to me one day."just think if you had all that money you spent". :sad2: I don't have to comment on that one. she is one of those people where money comes before anything. its sad. :sad2: the pictures I post and the picture in my sig. tells me the money was well spent!!!

We will be arriving after her graduation day but would enjoy seeing her in action as she pleasantly goes about her job. A great kid, to be sure!

It's great that you can document those early trips. We've got 1997 to the present covered: 283 days. We've got another eight days to add before the month is out. That would add up to 291. :teacher:
From 1974 to 1996, our memories have to provide the answer. At the low estimate end, it's 60 something; at the high estimate end it's 80 something. Of course, dozens of those numbers are last day departures, not overnight stays. Still, we were in a Disney Park on those days, at least for a while.

In any event, drive #31 begins next week after this upcoming weather system passes.

All the best. :thumbsup2

Oh so close for all three of us to be in the same place at the same time. Last time it happened was 2010, and we didn't do a good job of figuring it out then LOL.

I can't imagine you guys only doing one trip, although I would have said the same thing about us. We haven't been there since August 2012. Feels like an eternity, we're getting cautiously excited :goodvibes
