We are leaving here the afternoon of the 10th hoping to hit Miami on Friday the 12th where we will catch a cruise on the 13th for a week. Then drive to Lake Buena Vista for a one week stay at WDW! Can't wait for MNNSHP, Food and Wine Fest and Eat to the Beat concert series!

Hi everyone,

Poking my nose around I found this tread . We are going to do a road trip for a week and disney for a week, so I will reach over 2,000 miles as its 1,200 from my door to the world.

I am traveling with my will be 17month old daughter and my DH, we are super excited.

We decided our next trip will be over 2013 Thanksgiving week and into the next week so we can do all the Christmas stuff. We plan to drive Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving, arriving early afternoon Tuesday. Any opinions on traffic on 95 those days? Will we hit a lot of extra Thanksgiving traffic.

Should we start out on Sunday instead? I'm sure the drive home will be fine, just curious about your opinions of Thanksgiving week.

For us, a RIDICULOUS amount of time between trips!!

I'm not going to able to continue in this club. You see I purchased a car that I'll leave full time at our WDW area house. So, this Monday, the 8th, I'll do my last drive south in the "Florida car" and from now on I'll just fly back and forth. Going around DC on Columbus Day so I'm banking on the traffic being somewhat subdued. I'm a bit over 1,300 miles one way. Stopping to visit a WDW fellow traveler in Richmond on the way down, but from now on we'll just have to meet up at WDW.

PS: I'll be at Epcot for the Food & Wine on October 15th.

That's pretty much our plan. We're splitting days with park hoppers, but will be in MK on 10/21 for the morning, EP all day 10/22, HS 10/23 morning and 10/24 afternoon and AK all day 10/25

Has anyone heard from dvczerf? I just nosed around -- he left for WDW on or around Sept. 9. Last post to the DIS was Sept. 26. That seems odd for him. I hope he and his wife are ok.
