I have a 6 year old grandson who would love the cue in FOP but I think the ride might be too intense for him. Can we do rider swamp with him and can he go through the cue? Not sure how best to do this
It will be at the discretion of the CM. Some CMs will give rider swap passes for families with scared kids, while others will only give them to families with too-short kids. You will just have to ask and see what they say.
if he's six he can just wait in the ante room with the CM there. You couldn't do that with a toddler, but a six-year-old should be fine. It's only about five minutes being alone and there is a CM there.

I wouldn't leave a 6 year old alone anywhere, especially someplace he's never been. If he's too nervous to ride, he is likely also too nervous to be left alone in a strange place. The CMs are not babysitters. I do not recommend this as a strategy.
I am a Wing Commander when it comes to being a helicopter Grandma, I would never leave him in a room with strangers. I will see what he says, he might be OK with this ride. Thanks to everyone for the suggests.
