How much of the FOP Queue is indoors? We are going to stay off site on our next trip, so the chances of FP+ are slim to none. I am thinking about having us ride when the waits are about 90 minutes in the early afternoon, but it depends on if we will be in air conditioning or not. Would a 90 minute wait be mostly inside? Thanks!

I had heard that the inside queue can hold enough people for up to a 3 hour wait or some other such craziness. However the trick is if they have the whole indoor queue open or not. So if the line is out of the official entrance and down the bridge to Africa, then I would skip it. If the line is starting near or at the official entrance (the one with the wait times) then you would only be outside for maybe 20 minutes max before heading inside.

Otherwise you can head there for rope drop, provided it's not an EMH for resort guest AM and they start the ride about 15-20 minutes before official park opening. You can be in and out in an hour, in the cooler morning hours.

Don't skip it, it is by far the BEST ride I have ever been on.

I can not speak to the FOP queue but in August we found that even inside at most attractions it wasn’t all that cool (temperature). They really need to crank up the AC higher. Honestly TSM was the only ride that when we walked into the queue we felt it was refreshingly cool!

I cannot say anything about how much the queue is indoors since we had FP.

That being said, I wouldn't miss it, as it is completely a thrilling and beautiful experience. I would recommend that if you do not get there for the opening (when it's not an EMH day), that you go on while Rivers of Light is happening. When there is a massive show, or fireworks display in the park, a lot of people are enjoying that. So when there is a a ride I want to go on that has a massive wait I tend to do that.

Peter Pan the other day was well over an hour and when Wishes started, I went on the Haunted Mansion, as well as was able to easily walk onto Peter Pan. It said 20 minutes, but I probably waited less than 10. I cannot guaranteed it would be that dramatic, but I usually have good luck on getting a lesser wait time when shows, or fireworks start. Once again, may not be that dramatic (as while I was at the park the other day it would never stop being under 180), but I would imagine it would still decrease the wait time.

Straight through it's about an 8 min walk. About the first minute is outdoors. The outdoor portions do have fans. You'll likely be inside though as it's lengthy
