FOP & Navi in the evening

We were at AK on Sunday, August 27th and I thought I'd post our experience for those going in the evening vs. rope drop. We rode FOP with a fast-pass and stand-by and did the Navi River Journey twice stand-by.

We had a fast-pass for FOP for 8:20 pm to 9:20 pm. We got in line right at 8:20 and were off the ride by about 9 pm. We walked over to Navi to see what the line was like (we had fast-passes for the next day). Posted wait time was 5 minutes! We did it and then went through again with a posted wait time of still 5 minutes.

We got in the stand-by line for FOP at about 9:20 pm with a posted wait time of 75 minutes. Actual wait time was about 50 minutes.

Since we did Navi twice we cancelled our fast-passes for the next day, so if you're looking for fast-passes keep checking even once you're there. We could have picked up another set of fast-passes for FOP for Monday (this was late Sunday night), but we'd done it twice and since we were only there for two days we decided to hit the other parks and do something different.

Great info to know- thanks for sharing. It would be interesting get others same feed back on the later evening wait times. We are trying to plan our park days and there is no way that i want to be one of the ones running to pandora at rope drop with a 4 yo and grandparents in their 70's- I would rather head in the other direction and try to hit pandora later in the afternoon or evening time. From pictures it really looks amazing in the evening.

Thanks for sharing. There have now been multiple reports of short waits in the evening for both attractions, which is pretty typical for Disney headliners. We've always found that this approach is a more efficient use of our time than fighting through those big morning crowds.
