We will be there the week before Easter - so super busy. AK opens at 8:00. My FP is for 8:25. We are planning on going to Na'vi first. Should we wait even longer before going to FoP? My thoughts are it might still be super busy from RD, so would it be better to go through the FP line closer to 9:25? What are your thoughts? Thanks!

It is going to be super busy all day.

You will be in the fastpass line, while those going to ride at rope drop will be in the standby line.

I would go through the line when it works with my touring plan.

No, it won't matter how busy RD is if you are using a FP. There isn't a lot to do in Pandora, except look around or hit the gift shop, and I don't think it's worth it to leave Pandora and come back. I'd RD Na'vi and then use your FP as soon as you can. If you get there right at 8:00, the timing should work out. If you get there early, reports are that they are letting people ride before actual RD, and in that case, you might have some time to kill.

It would not be far to walk to the Safari, and when you're through with Navi, you could do the Safari before doing FoP.

This would be a good plan, if you don't have a Safari FP.

Except you can't plan on the back path being open from Pandora to Africa. It is not often in the morning.

Rope drop crowd will have no impact on you using your FP. Folks don't often realize that once you merge with the stand by line that part of the line will remain steady from open till close

Use it ASAP then try to move your later fastpasses to an earlier time.

If there is something else you really want to do and couldn't get a FP for then I would run to that and get to FOP after, you should have enough time. Or, as someone else said, go to it right away and then you can try and move your next fastpass up.

And don't listen to people saying you want to go and not come back to Pandora. You must go back at night if you will still be there that late. It is absolutely beautiful.

Here's a strategy you should be able to employ. I did it last June with an 8:00-9:00 AM FOP FP+ on an 8:00 AM park opening. If you can tolerate the rope drop crowd, get there 90 min early to be one of the first in line at Pandora for FOP. Ride standby. We had probably 50 people ahead of us and were done by about 8:20 AM. When done, ride Navi standby (we waited about 20-25 min). Then go back to FOP and use your FP+. We waited longer with the FP+ than we did standby.

Waited longer for the FP if you ignore the 90 minutes for some reason. Getting my wife to the parks at RD is hard enough let alone convincing her that 90 extra minutes are nothing.

If you like the River ride, this would be a good time to do it more than once before lines build up. Then use your FOP FP. But I also recommend taking some pics in the Valley of Mo'ara. There are some spectacular photo ops, such as the one on the left :)

In general, waiting until the beginning or end of a FP window really doesn't matter since there's FP return times at all times.

You can wait until the end at 9:25, but you might have 50+ people enter the line at that time because their window starts at 9:30. Then add in anyone who's window started at 9:15

I'd do as a few others suggested and go to standby on River journey and then use your FoP FP

You can rope drop Navi River first, then use your fast pass for FoP at 8:25.
They will let everyone in the park about 40 to 45 minutes early. They will let you on Navi River at 7:30. But, if you plan to arrive that early, I would rope drop FoP instead and then ride it again with the fast pass because you will want multiple rides on it. If you don't plan to arrive until 8:00, even the Navi River could have a long wait. Be sure you don't get stuck on Navi while your fast pass expires. That would be a disaster.

There's more than one answer but I think you would be fine riding NRJ at RD, doing the safari and then making it back to FoP by 9:40. We've done this combination a few times crowded times with FoP FP's around the same time. I want to say we made it back to FoP around 9:05 and that included going back to Discovery Island because the path out of Pandora to Africa was not available because of RD stand-by queue routing there. We were able to walk from Africa back to Pandora one of times after the safari but not sure it is like that all the time. My view on it is that it pretty got us on the first 3 rides with very short waits versus possibly only 2 rides if we did FoP right after NRJ. I think you could do EE instead of Safari but it wold increase walking time although should near net out with a shorter ride time on EE

Just and idea and sharing our experience.... there is more than 1 way to make it work for you.

I think everyone who said not to come back was referring to the original question about using the FP in the morning.

I absolutely would also suggest coming back at night, but I would only go to Pandora once in the morning.
