Football at WDW

DBF is a big Man Utd fan and whilst he isn't the type to spend a holiday watching football or trying to find someplace to watch it i know he'll be thrilled if i "accidently" take him to a bar showing a united game.

I was wondering if you could tell me if any of the bar in WDW show premiership football if not, can you recommend somewhere nearby?

Hiya, I am pretty certain the pool bar at POFQ had the Man U v Newcastle game on last week when we were there, and also it is on in the rooms, (ESPN2) And I guess depending on what time the ESPN club opens at the Boardwalk it may be on as the early Kick off is 8am, then the 3pm is 10 am obv and the next is 3pm.
Are you staying on or offsite?

Walked past the bar in POR going for a meal in their foodcourt yesterday lunchtime, I am sure the blackpool game was on, crowd of english in there and sport was on so I assume it was being shown live but didn't stop to check, not my idea of fun watching a tv on holiday.

Last year when I went to ESPN for lunch the footie was on one of the small screens but not on the main one so no commentary and it wasn't live. If you're lucky and it was a Monday night game (UK Monday night not US Monday night - big difference as ESPN is mobbed and lines are out the door for American Football then!) then it would possibly be shown live in ESPN in the afternoon, especially as I heard the US really got into the world cup this time around so interest is higher now over there than previously.

Yes Monday night was unpleasant viewing, maybe I should extend my not watching footy at wdw to not watching footy at all...
