Hi CathrynRose!

Sorry I don't visit the Suri thread anymore. I miss you gals there but TC just makes me so nauseous now.
Anyways, I haven't done the foot pads, but I did get an ionic foot detox once while at a conference getting my bloodwork checked. I figured I'd try it as a hoot.

It was cheap when tossed in with the bloodwork. The principle sounded like it might work. I know Japanese reflexology works off the principle that massaging pressure points in the feet meridians relate to other parts of the body. This Dr. said many toxins are accumulated in the body and since we are upright people, many of the toxins reside in the feet, also because of gravity.
We started by placing my feet in a basin of fresh, warm tap water. And he turned on the ionic machine. While we were discussing the bloodwork, the water was slowly turning a brown. Then after about 20 minutes, it was a gross, yucky black-brown with little pools of oily puss floating at the top. Yuk!

The Dr. said if I had been a smoker, the water would have been absolutely black with major thingies floating in it from all the nicotine & chemicals.
Here's a link to what my water looked like:

I felt better afterwards, but it could have also been because of changing other things after getting the results of my bloodwork.

I might get another one just to see if it did make any real difference.
I was also skeptical about whether the ionic machine would have produced brown water anyways, like the ionic air cleaners, just by being on for 20 minutes, sucking gunk out of the carpet it sat nest to. But after I got home, I looked on the web & they said tests were done where places did leave the machine on for periods of time with no feet in it. While they turned a slight brown from picking up neighboring dirt in the air & water, it was nothing like when feet were in the water.
I doubt those foot pads really work. They don't look like they have enough "charge" to really do anything.
As for the Miracle Cleanse, it's also known holistically as a Liver Flush. Yes they do work. It is the combo of the lemon juice and cayenne. Although a traditional liver flush also has garlic in it.
If you really want a great detox, try the Scientology Purif. I hear it does wonders. You will be a totally changed person afterwards.
