Has anyone ever gotten funny looks when taking photos of your chow especially at some of the nicer sitdowns?

I am just curious, maybe their are some humorous stories to share about this.

When I was at Boma breakfast I was going right up to the buffet and taking individual pictures of all the food, the place was empty at 8am. There was one guy that thought I was taking pictures of something bad to report to the resort and I said no I just scrapbook. I asked him if I could take a picture of him for my scrapbook as the nosy Boma diner that thought I was weird. He said sure thing! I deleted the pic when I got back to my table. :lmao:

I had thought about taking pics on my last trip, but I couldn't bring myself to. I did take a couple of pics of LTT dessert during the MNSSHP, because it was so cute. But I think I felt more weird about it than anyone around looking at me. But, I'm sure glad SOMEONE on the restaurants boards share their pics! (ahh hmm... MickeyNicki!) Thanks to all of you!

Oh yea...I get funny looks all the time! :rotfl2:

But, oh well...what do I care? When I have a good meal, I want to remember it! I can't wait till this Christmas/New Year and our very first Dining Review. :worship: We have PDP and I plan on plenty of pictures!!popcorn::

But, nobody has been brave to say, "what are you doing?" :lmao: Just looks.

Yes, from my DD, age 19. :lmao: So I didn't take any more (embarassing parents moment, ya know. totally AWKWARD, Mom)

i don't care what other people think - figure i'll never see them again anyway - DH doesn't care, but DS gets all embarassed....

one time i was taking photos in las vegas at the bellagio buffet, and the head chef came out to tell me to stop (that it wasn't allowed - whatever) - yep, DS was there, all mortified!!

at the F&W i get photos of all the offerings at every stand - my coworkers love when i bring the photo album in!!!

We went to Chef Mickeys and made dinner creations. We had to capture the goofy foods. People thought that we were very strange...

I'd show some of them, but they are on my other computer

Really? I took all kinds of pictures at buffets in vegas in March 08 (including the bellagio!) and nobody said a word! Huh...:confused3

I too have gotten some strange looks with the food pics. When I look back at them though, they usually smile! Usually it's more DBFF rolling her eyes at me!

My DH has been photographing his meals for years - just not at Disney! And I'm the only one giving him strange looks! Now, thanks to the DIS, I find out the official term for this is "food porn" - and he gets to tell me "see I haven't been crazy! Other people do this too!"
