Food you only eat at Christmas

Thank you all for the hints on my mom's brown sugar cake. I don't want to threadjack. It's all quite interesting to read to find out more about my mom. After 50 years I now know why we had brussel sprouts when no one else did for Christmas. And yes, those colored things are the cherries and such. She didn't soak anything. Since she didn't do alcohol, she may have varied it to fit her/dad tastes. You all have a great holiday! (embarassed to say, it never occured to me to ask my 20 cousins on facebook this question until now...duh). Someday I'll make it over there, food and lodging is free. Brother, sil and sis just came back from a 3 week stay.

But this year the big difference is the Christmas love affair we are having with Thornton's Continental chocolates. I got a box for free when I ordered gifts for the rellies and OMG they are sooo goood. :cloud9: So I ordered another 3 - including a box of the Christmassy version!! :santa:

In the interest of our waistlines, they have to be an exclusively festive food!

Thorntons Continental are my absolute favourite choccies in the whole, wide world  Glad to see someone else has discovered the love ;)
