Food & Wine....Last Minute...AGAIN. Let's Eat! Updated: 3/9!! The End.

Great update! All that food looked good to me. I have the same problem with dessert. I'm never too full for it.
I love KC in the sombrero. So authentic looking, IYKWIM!
:lmao: :lmao:

I am so excited to find your TR. DH and I recently purchased a trip at a fundraising auction. Long story short, we decided to go just the two of us without our kids. My hope is to go during food and wine fest. I am loving the details in your pictures and of course the food porn. I do believe when we were were planning our trip this summer I read one of your other TR's. I seem to remember you eating at Boma for your b-day because that is where we ate on my B-day.

Keep it coming.

Oh by the way, what is in that green dragon drink?

Great updates, Kat! I'm so wanting to try F&W Fest without kiddos!

:lmao: at KC, trying to do something Mexican. I got your back, brown cousin! ;)

KC cracked up when I read that to him! :)

all caught up

great update and pics.

you people out did me there. I think I had food from 2 kiosks and I was full.

looking forward to hearing more

As KC would say "we're fat, we can always eat". LOL.

Hi Kat!!!

Hola Rosie!

It is a Welsh Dragon which is: Peach schnapps, Melon liqueur, crème de Menthe, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice

SOOOOOO good!!! I def hope you get to go to F&W, it's so much fun to stroll the different booths together!

I had never ridden TT in the dark and wanted to, so that was our 1st stop. I told KC about Jo & family and how they always do silly things for the camera…here’s his:

The only advantage to having been on the ride before was this…

Wooohoooo, it doesn't matter it was only once it still counts :thumbsup2

Looks like you guys really enjoyed the F&W :goodvibes

Rosa Regale!!! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :yay: I'm not much of a wine-drinker, even though I am Italian!:rotfl: However, this is the best wine I have ever tasted! I like this so much that it's the first thing we do when we're in Epcot. We buy 2 bottles to be sent to the front of the park. Pick them up on our way out & have a very relaxing evening after my nieces go to bed!! :goodvibes
Love your funny hat pics!:rotfl2:

i'm in! sorry i'm so late. gonna go catch up later - just wanted to sub. :goodvibes

I saw a bench and took a seat there, KC proceeded to play with the stuff at the carts nearby.

Did you kno0w there is no bathroom in Mexico? Poor KC had to go all the way back to Norway just to use a bathroom. But lucky for me I got to sit on a bench in the nice air conditioned Mexico Pavilion.

IN keeping with the Mexico theme we stopped here next…

He was all proud to order in espanol.

We had a fav from last year, Chilaquilles (A).

We made our way to a bench near the center of the world showcase. We had a DIS meet coming up but def needed a rest first. It was a long day for us, not going back to the hotel for a midday break like usual. But since the trip was so short we made a go of it!

Senor never full decided to go over to the Puerto Rico booth while I sat at the bench.

We had Mofongo (B+) and Plantain &Beef Casserole (B+). Both were good but not great, and we know good Puerto Rican food.

After a little while we watched the sun go down and I got a text from one of my DIS friend’s that they were just about into the showcase! And believe it or not, we actually took pics!

Me & Angela

Angela, Her Hubby Mitch, KC & I wandered our way towards Canada. They stopped for some Mojitos at Puerto Rico. Then in the UK, KC got a Guinness at the pub. We walked over the bridge to France and I stopped to get my 2nd favorite drink in Epcot, The grand Marnier Slush.

KC went and got Escargot #2 while the 3 of us found a little table to sit at. We chatted for a while but once it was around 7pm we had been in Epcot for about 8 hours, eating, and I was starting to lose my umph. Sadly we cut short our visit. I still feel really bad, I wish we had more time to spend but that day really kicked my butt. I know there will be a next time tho! Thanks Angela & Mitch for coming out!

Ang & Mitch headed to see the concert in America. Who was it again Angela? I can’t remember, Los Lobos maybe?! We stopped, ok KC stopped, at France AGAIN, for Escargot #3, and as he said “when I ordered the words ‘crème brule’ just came out”. So we got one of those too, it was vanilla crème(A+).

We ate as we walked back towards the entrance of the park. Now we covered the whole of the showcase that day, all except for what was below the international gateway, so OF COURSE KC needed to make a quick stop in Poland, even tho I was dead on my feet.

Pieroges and Kielbasa (A+). I had a tiny taste and it was yummy.

Finally we were almost outta there. But we decided if SE was a walk on we’d make another go of it since it’s sitting down, and very relaxing. It was a walk on! We decided to make some dumb faces again.

The screen rebooted out of nowhere so I told KC he broke SE!

BTW, Those are NOT my middle fingers, I swear!!!
2530682150070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

We stopped for one more PP pic. Don’t I look exhausted?
2102336320070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

I guess since I didn’t eat much in the last few plates we had I was actually a little hungry. I have no idea how after all the darn food I consumed in one day, but even so, we decided to split a bacon burger and eat in the room.
2085811940070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

My awesome hubby went and got us some drinks too, which rocked because I really couldn’t walk any further and the mugs were in the room. So we ate, watched some TV and passed out early!

Can you believe that was all ONE DAY! I Know!

Next up… A Polynesian breakfast and a date with a fairy!

Next Installment: HERE!

Wow! No wonder you were exhausted by the end of the day, traipsing around WS all day long!!! The chilaquilles look delicious -- I am a sucker for anything Mexican, especially if it comes with sour cream!

Whew! That WAS quite a day... but an awesome one! There's a lot of walking in WS and when you add the eating and drinking... well, who could blame you for being tired. Glad you got to have a DIS meet!:)

Poor KC...you know there ARE bathrooms in Mexico-you just have to ask at the podium for San Angel and they are there. You traipse through the diners to get to the bathrooms on the right side (if your facing the restaurant). We learned this tidbit many years ago. Lots of people filter through to the bathrooms that aren't dining there, so I guess its just a matter of knowing they are there and that anyone can use them.

Your SE pics are hilarious! Although yeah, it does look like the middle finger. :rotfl:

Another great update and so great that you were able to meet up with Angela!

BTW - There is a restroom in the restaurant in MExico. You just pretend you belong there (like you are waiting for your name to be called) and walk past the check in podium and go in....Not that I have ever done that before:rolleyes1

You make me feel so much better! Remember my F&W insanity the year before last... the 1am cheese plate?! :rotfl:

::yes::

Oh - right - me neither. :teeth:

Your comment on how KC ordered in Spanish at the Mexico booth made me laugh because when I worked at Epcot during the 2002 Food & Wine Fest, they had a Spanish booth. None of the workers were actually from Spain, and a few times they stuck me in there. I felt so bad because all day long guests would come up and start speaking to me in Spanish and I would have to admit I didn't speak it very well at all
The Grand Marnier slushie looks amazing! I have a habit of always getting a fiesta margarita in the World Showcase, and therefore have never tried any other frozen drink there. That might have to change next trip!
All I can say about KC's face on SE: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

This made me :rotfl2: . I wonder how many CM's this happens to at EPCOT to on a regular basis?

I spent most of my time at that Food & Wine fest working in the New Zealand booth. All day long people would come up and ask me what part of New Zealand I was from, and I would say "The Philadelphia area." Most people didn't get it :rotfl:
