Food & Wine festival solo - what have you done?

What have you done solo during the F&W festival? any of the seminars? or will it be best to just plan on walking around and checking it out?

I've done a few of the free seminars, but mostly I like trying all the different foods and drinks. But I don't think you would have any problems being a solo at the other seminars, you would be surprised about how many people really are solo, I think when we go with a group we tend to be more focused on the group and don't notice other people, there are many people solo at the parks on any given day.

I'm wondering this too. DH and I are planning to go for the F&W festival next year. However, he golfs all day so can you say "golf widow"? I'm sure I'll spend lots of time in Epcot solo.

I came across a wine tasing in Australia with an empty seat right befoore it started so I did that and the wine walkabout also in Australia, but that's all I did in '03

The F&W festival is a great time for a solo trip!
The wine and cooking seminars are interesting and you'll fit in just fine as a solo. I also really enjoy the ticketed events, too. Party for the Senses is great -- you can just wander from station to station tasting the food and wine without planting yourself at a table. Even at the Signature Dinners and Exquisite Evenings, multiple parties are seated at tables and asking people what other festival stuff they've gone to is a great conversation starter.
