For budgeting purposes, they sell gift cards that are on wrist bands, you can pre-load those. Each time you use it, the amount left is on your receipt. You can also use them anywhere else that is Disney owned like gift shops and restaurants.

Can you use a magic band at the booths?

I think so but I'm not sure. I never charge anything to my MB. I don't like little charges showing up, I'm bad about forgetting my pin and I stay in Swan/Dolphin a lot, which you can't charge back to.
