I dont start threads, but I think this is a good idea that i havent seen yet.

I have been to the food/wine before but did not take advantage of the carts or really anything else for that matter.
It just occurred to me as I once again cant get an adr for Canada,
that I could probably at least sample some of their best stuff at the food and wine fest carts? (or am i wrong)

Can people tell me what I should not miss about this food and wine fest?

You might want to read here.. I have not gone for 4 years, but when we did, we did the party for the senses, which was incredible. We sampled from all the outside areas, I remember thinking that was pretty awesome as well. The food is wonderful...so I think wherever you go, depending on personal taste, you will enjoy.

The Canadian food booth at the F&W Festival has offered the exact same thing for the last three years ...

a wee cup of cheddar cheese soup
maple glazed salmon with arugula
maple creme brulee

It's ok ... I wasn't terribly impressed with their offerings and would actually like to see them mix things up a bit, but that's a conversation for a different thread. ;)

We go to the F&W every year and never eat in a restaurant the entire time - we just walk around the booths and feed ourselves that way. It's more than enough food to sustain anyone all day without the necessity for a TS meal. The portion sizes are just right so you can try so many different things. Why bother with any of the restaurants that you've likely eaten at a million times, when you can sample international food you may never have had before?

This will be our 3rd year at food/wine event. Have not made any reservations for sit downs. Its is fun trying all the foods and just a nice way to spend part of the day. We usually start early lunch when it is still very slow. Then take in shows or rides and come back later in day. We will be their 10 days and probably will go to Epcot 4 or 5 times. If their are 20 food stations we usually try 75% of them. Portions size is nice and when your full you just stop.

we've always loved being in disney during F&W - no ADRs for us!!!

we graze our way thru ALL the booths, trying at least (but sometimes 2 or 3 items) from each booth, sharing everything between us

yes, you can fill up that way - but it can be costly, too!

cool, sounds great,
now that i found the list of kiosks and their menu's
I am getting hungry already

The food is fantastic! Even the stuff that did not appeal to me personally looked good.

I love the Maple Salmon from Canada. It's always my 1st stop during the F & W Fest.

Happy eating!
