I was just wondering if anyone has ever brought their children to any of the Food & Wine events? I just called to reserve the 3D Delicious Dessert Discoveries for our family of 4 and I was told there are no prices for children. The cast member said that I'd even have to pay the $45 plus tax and gratuity for my 1 year old who won't even be eating anything. Is this true?

If it is true, would it be wrong for me to make a reservation for 3 of us...DH, DD 4 and myself and just hope they let me bring my 1 yo in without a reservation for him? He's not going to eat anything and I seriously doubt he'll be awake during Illuminations. I had to do a lot of fast talking just to let DH agree to pay $45 for my 4 yo who eats like a bird. I know he's not going to want to pay that for our 1 yo son too...

Yes, it is true that every person has to pay full price. I would guess it's because there are a limited number of seats, and if they didn't charge the same for children, there could possibly be quite a number of seats filled with children that they would not be able to sell to adults.

As far as showing up with your 1 year old, I would think they would let it slide but is it worth the risk of being turned down?
