Does anyone have any information about the beer seminars? Were and when do they take place? I'm looking forward to these in October.

My DH did one last year at the American pavillion. You really can't miss these as they have signs up and they state the times of the seminar. In addition, there were always people at the countries passing out fliers for the different seminars. In the end my DH didn't really enjoy it. The crowd he was with was more interested in drinking the beers only and not finding out much about how it was made. My DH wanted to try some but actaully was curious about the beer itself. He isn't 100% sure if he'd do it again or not because of that.

aw thats aweful but totally understand why he wouldnt do it again...were they free of charge?

They also have a tasting 4-5 times a day at the Rose & Crown sponsored by InBev - nothing novel though (Beck's Light, Stella, Bass etc). You need to get a token from the CM and get in line for this. They put four bottles on each table (which seats four).

Also, there is the Sam Adams seminar at the American Pavilion that gives 4-5 small samples and a nice bottle opener keychain giveaway.

That's about it.

They do have the Hops and Barley stand which carries about 10 Sam Adams beers at the American Pavilion - always worth a stop.

I just double checked with my DH and he said there was no charge.

Thanks for this info. DH and I have been pretty bummed when we realized we wouldn't be able to swing the big bucks for PFTS this year. I'm glad there are some free activities for those of us willing to seek them out. We'll just be there the first weekend and we'll have 2 kids in tow. I was thinking we could get the schedule in the am and decide if there are any tastings or seminars either of us would like. Then the other can stay with the kids(hopefully it'll be naptime at that point) while one of us goes to do something fun. We'll have parts of Friday, Saturday and Monday to do a few things here and there including checking out the booths.:woohoo: I don't think the kids will want to spend all 3 days at Epcot while mom and dad drink, but we should be able to work in a few things.:thumbsup2
