It will just be me, my DH (who does not eat any type of fish, seafood, or poultry), my DD, her DH, and my 5 yr. old granddaughter..

Would like to keep it REAL simple - preferably nothing "sit down"..

What's everyone else serving?

nearby, and you can get trays of ziti, chicken parm, sausage & peppers, etc, so I think we do that again this year. Delicious food & no hassel...its a win win!

I like to make a lot of munchies...

ham and cheese rolled up in a flour tortilla, then you slice it, cheese tray, veggie tray.

We have the big meal on Christmas.

Have a Merry Christmas!!!

Tacos!! Christmas eve is my birthday and I love tacos, so we're having them.

tricia.

You could try just making all kinds of frozen appetizers. Let the kids pick out things they have been eyeing all year from the frozen snack aisle and cook it all up. Mini Bagel Pizzas, mini egg rolls, stuffed spinach and cheese poufs, mini quiches. It'll prolly all cook up in the same amount of time, so you pop two trays in the oven and there you go. :)

Now, I'm hungry! :)

We'll be having shrimp, clam spread, sausage balls, chex mix, veggie tray, and a large mix of sweets.

It is usually a relaxed munchie foods evening then we go to midnight services. The "elves" get eggnog and cake before bed!!

This year Ill be at Le Cellier, but if we werent, we would be having the usual...Chinese Food.

We traditionally do an appetizer thing too. Spinach dip, veggies, cheeses, etc. My mother-in-law usually makes a really yummy homemade mushroom soup to go with it too. Yum, yum!

This will be my FIRST time hosting Christmas eve and I have NO IDEA! All I know is there will be eggnog!

The In laws will be at our house for Christmas Eve dinner again this year so we are grilling steaks. Something easy that dH has to fix. I will go to Publix's for something for dessert.

We also do an appetizer type party for our Christmas Eve dinner. Just put it out in the afternoon and graze all evening. We have Ranch Pinwheels, Smokies, Ham Rolls, Olives and Cheese, Cheeseball with Crackers, Taco Dip with Chips, etc. For something with a little more substance I also grill up brats, kielbasa, and smoked sausage - slice into pieces then throw it all in the crockpot with a little water for a few hours. This is always a big hit. I also make a pasta salad and chicken salad sandwiches. For dessert it's fudge and cookies. And I also always make punch as the family just loves it. :)

I make potato soup. Topped with real bacon pieces, shredded cheddar cheese, and green oinions. It is SO good! :goodvibes

That's what we're doing at Mom's, even tho this will be our "big" celebration day. We're having Bronco Burgers, hot ham & cheese on kaiser/hard rolls. YUMMO!! I'm bringing a side of hash brown casserole and one brother is bringing desserts. We'll also have a wide variety of appetizers. :teeth:

We usually have a Seafood dinner with my side of the family. But My DH (just like yours) hates seafood. So I will make him something simple like chicken cutlets.

We often do ravioli (Costco has some great varieties), caesar salad and sourdough bread. We like the ravioli cause it's kind of symbolic of little "packages."

One year we did the whole appetizer thing too and that was fun. Costco (I love this store) has super appetizers- TGIFriday's cheesesticks, bagel bites, mini-quiches, taquitoes, dips...yummy...can't wait til Christmas!

One of my favorites is doing the appetizers. But I also like making some good Hot sausage with onions and peppers, & maybe some spinach balls.

New this year for me is I am going to make homemade chocolate dipped pretzels, cookies and whatever else I feel like dipping.
