New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

They'll mail you a new card that says Inspire. In my experience, when I've upgraded before, my old card keeps working for a while. I haven't tried to push it to see how long it works but you could try!
I was told it will work for 30 days. I asked because my son has an associate card he can use while he's at college and we won't see him for a few weeks and she assured me it will still work.

For those of you who said you upgraded from the Disney Premium Visa, did that also qualify for the $300.00 gift card :confused3 I was under the impression that you only could get that gift card if you applied for the new Inspire Visa card :rolleyes1

No. The sign up bonus is only for new applicants

So hard to catch up, and I quoted so many people this may be tough. lol

For me this card doesn’t move the needle to justify a new app. I’d rather apply for a better a card. I have a Disney Visa so I would just upgrade mine if I decided I want this.

I bet upgrade offers will soon appear too.
Would they offer to upgrade from free Disney visa?

You can move credit limit around among your cards with Chase. Sometimes you have to wait a few months to be able to do it with new cards, but eventually you'll be able to do it yourself from the Chase online account management.
That’s good to know!!

I didnt even think about the weather situation ugh. How is Arizona, that is being talked about now 😔
Tucson is really nice this time of year!!

Dumb question alert!

I see people mentioning charging to the room. What is the purpose of doing that in regards to this card?

Also...how does one charge to their room when in the parks? I've never done that.
I’m amazed everyone doesn’t do it. I charge everything to my room, just magicband for everything all day every day, then I usually pay it off with a gift card the night before check out.

We're going to aulani! I got 2 nights in a deluxe island garden and 2 in a one bedroom pool. Aiming for 8 nights
3 different room split stay in one resort?? That might be a record. lol
Better add some waitlists for sure!!

if you don’t already have a physical GC, you’ll need to buy one. Then create an account on DisneyGiftCard.com, enter numbers for both the physical and the e-GC, transfer funds, then delete both cards.
Delete both??
I don’t have any physical cards at all, I just keep transferring to my “Disney Card” and use it from my Apple wallet.
If you lost a physical card and had deleted it from the site would you be out the money completely?

My questions about this card is I’m wondering is it worth it if I wouldn’t be able to spend $2,000 on my folio? (and I don’t do cruises).
Everything else seems great, but not sure. I only have the free Disney card, so it seems like I should get a better one to get more out of it. Will be amazing if dues count. :)

I don't know if we'll hit $2000 a year either since I can't see us charging to our room much. Maybe souvenirs. Or if our TOT at VDH counts. But we mobile order most of our meals in the parks. I suppose if we order our tickets direct from Disney then that would count?

Yep I don’t really even buy tickets from Disney, I usually use the discount places, and since we’re DVC there is no hotel charges either, so it may be tough.

I’m not sure $895 is going to cover that. lol
But I’m with you, I’d get one for sure!!

Deleting both doesn't mean not having the number of the physical saved somewhere secure. It just prevents a card from being drained of your Disney account is hacked. If I were to lose the physical, I would address that by quickly adding it back to the Disney account (from the saved location, I use a password manager) then transferring the balance to another card in my possession.

Though I like doing, even better, what you already do: just charge to the folio as much as you can and pay it off the night beforeb with a gift card.

As to whether the CC is worth it without using the $200 credit, I think it might be if you max out the other two credits. Still a net savings if you don't already get D+ free with some other CC and can use $100 off tickets. Of course it's a lot better if you can max the $200--doesn't have to be in one stay!
