1st time to Disney World. 11/12-11/19/05, myself, DH, DD 10, DS 7 staying at POP. Here's my question - is $850 enough for 6 dull days in WDW for the group listed above. Here's what's paid for already - POP ressies, Hoop Dee Doo, Princess Story bkfst, Chef Mickeys. The $850 also does not include (because I put it away in envelopes already) - mousekeeping, paying for and tipping Happy Limo, kids each have $60 in Disney $$. Eating breakfasts in room. Please post if you think I'm in the ballpark of the right amount of money.

Unless you are planning on some really expensive dinners at some of the signature resturants I think your budget sounds fine. Especially since alot of your more expensive meals are already paid for.

You could get the mealplan for about the same price (assuming you're getting a package).

::MickeyMo DBF and I bring about $1000.00 for food money. We're going for 9 days. However, we have restaurants like Le Cellier, Alfredo's...a lot of TS restaurants. We already paid for the HDDR and put away money for mousekeeping and spending. I guess it all really depends on where you plan on eating. If it's all CS, I think that's fine, otherwise, you may need a little more. ::MinnieMo

We have been to Disney several times (and just got back on Sunday) -- I think that your food budget is fine, assuming that you plan on eating at one counter service restaurant each day, and that you will probably not spend it all (but you can always use the leftover to start saving for your next trip!).

ditto on the thought that your $850 is a good amount, even with snacks factored in.

Thats PLENTY!! If you eat small breakfasts, which we had a quick pop tart in the room, and than we would split our conterservice portions alot because they were huge at some places. Also kids sometimes dont eat alot so I would share my meal with my daughter. Just some thoughts to save $.

Jackie's Disney Formula

Multiply the amount you think you'll need by 3 and that's how much to bring!
Just kidding, I think you'll do fine!

That amount sounds good. However, my experience of a holiday involving WDW usually means overall you come home having spent more than you bargained for overall, perhaps not on food alone but on total spend.

I always leave plenty of money in our account to cover for the inevitable overspending to avoid going into the red.
