OMG, i'm so sad to be home.. we had an awesome trip though! lots of pixie dust moments.. we stayed at SSR on rented points! (thank you natasha!!!) here is a recap of our dining, on the DDP. (total cost of plan, $500) all amounts are rounded off.
we were, me, hubby, dd (10) and ds (5)

day one, sunday
LUNCH
arrived later then we expected and went to the food court at SSR, artist palette.. not many food choices :~( we ended up with;
2 orders of chicken strips with chips
1 kids PB&J with chips
1 turkey ceasar sandwich with chips
2 sodas and 2 iced teas, 2 chocolate cakes, key lime pie and a brownie
the chips were greasy and too hard to bite into, the pb&j was an uncrustable and all else was just OK..
4 CS, total cost $50.00
DINNER
Whispering Canyon Cafe; server Jenna (who ROCKED!!!)
hubby and i ordered the skillet, which came with salad and no appetizer substitute. my daughter felt very important that she was an adult and ordered the strip steak with nachos as app. we paid OOP for ds who had something i can't remember.
the food was great, but the service and antics were the absolute best part of our trip.. our server and the ones around us had us cracking up the entire time. it was mothers days and they had the guys get up and sing and dance, it was awesome!!
3 TS, cost $118 plus ds at $19 plus additional $10 tip

day two
BREAKFAST
back to artist palette for sad choices but ease of use...
all i know is that we had runny eggs with soggy bacon, some drinks and a very confused (but nice) cashier.
4 CS, cost $27
DINNER
cape may cafe at the beach club... we scarfed down as many mussels and ribs as we could, jammed in some oreo bon bons. and rolled our bloated selves out of there.. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
excellent food, good service
4 TS, cost $112

day three
BREAKFAST...
very disappointing.. we went to fountainview bakery at epcot, thought we'd get to use some snack credits, they showed DDP icons on the menu... the line wasn't very long but the service was extremely slow.. after about 25 minutes we ordered a few danish and a bagel with 2 coffees. we were told we should get 2 more drinks and we didn't want to, but we were told that the danish with coffee was considered a CS credit... we paid OOP about $20 (lost receipt)

LUNCH
mcdonalds... nuggets, small fries, soda and mcflurry each
2 CS, cost $23... nothing to write home about.... oh but did i mention it was COLD and RAINY and we had to eat on a wet bench....????

DINNER
le cellier!!!! woo hooo, very anticipated dinner!
dh, shrimp cocktail, mushroom filet, club cake.... filet was like butter and risotto was excellent
me, cheese soup, NY strip steak, creme brulee.... steak was awesome and hubby was quite jealous of my creme brulee!
food was fantastic, pretzel bread was good but whole grain bread was stale
we were seated quickly and not rushed at all.
2 TS credits, cost $110
paid OOP for some kids food, approx $23
SNACKS... somewhere during this day we had a few snacks for about a $6.00 charge.

day four
BREAKFAST
breakfastosaurus at AK
terrible!! we've been there before and liked it... but this time the food was not being refilled and what was available was greasy and nasty.. the check arrived at our table before the characters and many families were sitting at tables, done eating, just waiting for a character... when they finally arrived they stopped, posed for a pic and rushed away. i complained to the manager and he comped breakfast for us.. which was nice cause paying almost $100 for that mess would have driven me NUTS!! :confused3
Cost $000 aggravation in spades... :~(

LUNCH
tusker house at AK
2 turkey wraps, fried chicken sandwich and a kids mac n cheese. turkey wraps came with corn chowder which was YUMMY, but my dd took all of it and gobbled it down along with her fried chicken sandwich
we had a carrot cake, cheesecake and 2 chocolate cakes... we also rolled out of there, happy and stuffed with good food and 4 drinks :Pinkbounc
4 CS, cost $50

DINNER (bonus cause we had not paid for breakfast)
kona cafe at poly
dh started with the kona salad which he liked a lot and i started with crab cakes which were good, but unfortunately as we were half way through them the server pretty much threw out entrees on the table, seriously they were hanging off the edges of the table! we were contemplating asking them to take it back to keep them warm, but just decided to deal with it. i had the fried shrimp and scallops with sticky rice.. it was VERY good except the rice seemed to have been sitting around a little too long as the edges were crunchy. dh had the filet medallions with were good but not as good as le cellier, they were also drowning in sauce, which was very overpowering.
ds had hot dog with soup to start and the soup was inedible. dd was still stuffed from lunch! we ended with a caramel-banana cremem brulee for me, a kilhuae(SP?) torte for dh and 2 kiddie cones for the kids. the creme brulee tasted like the torch it was burnt with and the inside tasted like banana jell-o pudding, the torte was a rich chocolate brownie type thing that was hard and dry... kids ate the cotton candy outside of the cone then stayed up half the night high on sugar
3 TS credits, cost $133 plus a few bucks($6?) OOP for dd's ice cream cone.

SNACKS
some water $4

day five
BREAKFAST
1900 park faire at grand floridian
3 adult and 1 kid breakfast buffet
food was good (way better then AK day) there was an omelet making station, waffles with strawberry or vanilla sauce breads and fruits.. service wasn't that great, took a lot of time getting coffee and drinks and taking away plates. characters were nice, cute, and came around timely.
4 TS, cost $85

LUNCH
earl of sandwich DTD
i had the original(roast beef cheddar and horseradish sauce), which should have had cheese and didn't
dh has the all american (turkey cranberry lettuce tomato)and liked it
ds had pb&j, liked it alot
dd had the grilled cheese and wasn't thrilled
no appetizers offered and limited desserts. then they screwed up our order and gave it to someone else, that person opened all the sandwiches, picked through them and brought them back to the front.. they were then handed to me!! i asked for replacements that weren't touched by someone else! we got attitude but were given new sandwiches (probably why i had no cheese!)
2 CS, cost approx $18 OOP $9

SNACKS.. we cause we ate so darn much food there wasn't much room for snacks, not even one mickey ice cream bar or frozen banana!
so we loaded up at SSR food court. 3 boxes of entenmann's donuts and cookies, 3 BIG bags of chips, 4 bottles of water! :rotfl2:
10 snack credits, cost about $26

sooo grand total
about $850
SAVINGS $350!!!!
for real, though... we'd never eat so much or so expensively on our own... although we realize that for 4 of us we'd easily spend $100 per day (which is what the meal plan cost) and not have eaten so well.
what i wish was different...
that the snacks had a different icon to avoid confusion.
that the restaurants were more equal, like they all had kids appetizers.
and that i lived even closer to disney and were independantly weathly!!

Sounds like you had a good time minus a few minor problems. And at least the Breakfastasauras was free! Thanks for your reviews, can't wait to use DDP in September! :wizard:
