I know this had been asked many times. I hope this is a different question. We want to take family with us. We will be getting a 2 bdroom and a studio. Does everyone have to do the food plan, or can the people in the 2bdr do it and not the studio. It will all be on my points so assum one ressie.

Thank you that is what I thought! My brother in law is being difficult and does not want to do the food plan and everyone else does. I was kinda hoping that if we got him in the studio with his family then we could seperate them, but I guess not. Oh well. Looks like he either takes the free room with food plan or has to get his own ressie! They want to do all sit down meals and no counter. Oh well!

He can do mostly TS and pay for the extra few TS meals he wants in cash...he will still make out. I am planning to share with my kids and we have 8 TS planned for a 6 night vacation. What about the snacks and the fact that it includes tax and tip? The way I figure it is if you are going to spend $3 on a snack,(-tax),(-tip), if you are going to spend $28 on dinner(app/dessert/beverage) you can let go of the counter service. Many places $28 would not even cover a drink and entree. Kids even better deal.

I assume you are talking about a 2 bedroom unit PLUS a studio, and not the studio portion of a lock-off two bedroom. If this is the case, they will be two serperate reservations, one for the two bedroom and one for the studio, so both groups do not have to do the dining plan. But everyone in the same unit must do the plan.

As to whether the dining plan is a good deal or not, it depends upon your dining habits. For us, no way would we opt for the plan. No way could we eat appetizer, entree, beverage and desert each at a sit down restaurant, plus sandwich, beverage and dessert counter service, plus a "snack" daily.

Chuck, Yes we are talking about a 2bdr PLUS a studio. My brother in law's family likes to do every meal as a sit down meal. So we would be able to make the 2bdr ressie for my family and my inlaws on the food plan(4Aand 3k) then in the seperate studio book it for my BIL family without the food plan?

We like the food plan a lot. It pays for us because my theory is...I am on vacation and it does not include me cooking in anyway!!! :cool1: Plus my inlaws and hubby are big eaters! So it really gives us our moneys worth. Thanks for all the help!

Yes, you can book the seperate studio without the food plan.

When we take family we book them their room separate from us but same resort. Since we both have separate reservation numbers, one can add the DDP while the other does not have to. This is how we did it in April and it worked great for us.

Remember that there is no guarantee that your two villas will be close to each other.

We do not mind not being close to each other. That is really no problem at all. Thanks for all the advice.

:rotfl2: We can barely tolerate the family at the same resort. No way do we want to be next to them. Our last trip at the BWV they were on the same floor and kept showing up at our door in pjs every morning looking for coffee.
