FOOD Pictures from The Fort

Right there with you NoM Trails end is our arrival day Dinner :dancer::dancer::dancer: at least once more during the trip then departure day breakfast:guilty::guilty::guilty:
That is a great idea and just in time to make my ADR's the end of May...thanks!

wow the food here looks actually pretty good, Kind of made me hungry haha! I like the little touch of the fall leaves sprinkles on your birthday dessert there. So cute!

I know this is a thread for food from the Fort food locations (RIP the original Trails End) but I was actually kinda proud (shame on me) for the Thanksgiving meal I pulled off in November 2022. We were in a popup - I ran the Blackstone griddle outside and DW ran the microwave inside. This is how it all came out.

My plate:

And as it played out:

Plus pumpkin and pecan pies with WHIP from the grocery store bakery.

It was OH so good.

My best effort yet. (there I go again ... :rolleyes1 )

I get those may be recent food pics at Trails End but it makes me 'recoil' at how far TE has fallen since before the covid era. No offense to you, @BLTtinkerbell .

The same frozen pizzas they have been slinging into the oven for over two decades. :sad2:. 80% of folks hated them (cardboard) and 20% said they were okay (better than nothing).

Having worked in a Food Service environment, I've been somewhat informed about how the same generic stuff gets delivered to multiple restaurants.

At some point you can't hide the decline any more.

I remember when the "CARVER" at the Trails End Buffet had a FULL side of bacon (about 4 feet long) that was sliced by hand at the CARVING STATION with a nod and a 'thank you'. And I happily paid.

Honestly, the pics of cold, pre-packaged plastic foods make me RUN to my local grocery because the food I cook is SO much better (in every possible way). And now I'm glad to spend the extra time to cook real food. But mostly, they make me sad.

Somebody pull me off stage right, please .

They want us to forget what was and look at the *FLASHY* thing and then THANK them for the junk they sell us now.

No can do. Which is why I cook (much better) for my family.

ED

PS - we can do better elsewhere (even incrementally) at Disney still (although it gets harder year by year to find something worthwhile). Geyser Point? Steakhouse 71?
