Food Options at SSR?

Anyone know what kind of food options they are planning to have at SSR (i.e. full service restaurant, snack bar, lounge...), and/or the type of food to be served?

Trying to do some research for a possible add-on. Thanks.

plus a character meal maybe (wouldn't that be nice?). As for cuisine, let's see, AKL has African theme, Beach Club does the ocean, Boardwalk has a good range of urbane choices; perhaps they will go with an Upstate NY theme. How about NY Strip Steak as a specialty? Then again, SSR is awefully close to DTD. with Lots of restaurant options, but I can't see the not having at least a good buffet or sit-down place and a couple of counter service places. Any Upstaters care to speculate on a food theme here (and despite what downstaters think, there's plenty of real cuisine Upstate)?

There will be food center called "Artist's Pallette". There will be no full service restaurant at the resort, probably because of the close proximity to the restaurants at DD.

No word yet on the menu selection at Artist's Pallette.

The new letter describes it as Market style. In one area you can grab a sandwich out of a fridge in another you can special order one on fresh baked bread, and in yet another you can grab "heartier" stuff like meatloaf. There will be limited seating there, but food can be eaten outside or in your room or on the go......

Thanks for the responses. I hadn't thought about the close proximity to DTD and the restaurant choices there. What will the "walk time" be from SSR to DTD? Anyone know this? I'm anxious to find out if it's going to as convenient as BCV are to EPCOT!

Its a big resort. Im guessing that depending on where on the property you are it could be like walking to the WS in Epcot from BCV or it could be like walking from the YC or BCV to the front gate in Epcot.
