I've read that the BWV has the following food options:

Big River Grille and Brewing Works
ESPN Club
Flying Fish Cafe
Spoodles

From the descriptions I've read these do not sound like "fast food" like places to eat.

Does BWV have any kind of food court kind of area to grab a quick bit to eat?

Thanks
Todd

They do not have a food court, but you can pick up take outs at ESPN and at the bakery(sandwiches) and they have a pizza take out window at Spoodles and at the Screen Door you can pick up snacks and items you can put in the microwave. At night there are hot dogs and fries at the kiosk on the boardwalk.

DS and DDIL said that the Spoodles pizza was really good! And don't forget you can also walk 10 minutes over to BCV to the BC Marketplace. Also, lots of people go into Epcot thru the International Gateway for fast food.

:) When we were down this past January, the hot dog kiosk was open on the BW during the day. They sell hot dogs, pretzels, french fries, sodas, etc. In addition to what has already been mentioned, across the lagoon at the Beach Club there is also Hurricane Hannah's which sells fast food. When we stay at the BW we never have a problem getting our fast food "fix"!

With Counter Service at WDW it is all bought from the same company (ARAMARK) at least it was a few years ago. With Eisner out the company may have changed.

Point is the Counter Service will be the same no matter where you go. I was reading Menus earlier for our DDP since we will also be at the BWV and the Bakery sounds like it has healthy alternatives to the burgers and pizzas. Also, if you have a small kitchen in your room you may want to buy fixins at a local grocer (Love the Publix) and save a penny or two, use those credits for something else in the parks.

Hi Todd

I'm takeing my bother and his wife down with us in Dec. I compiled all kinds of info on Boardwalk so he could see what they have in store. If your interested here's a link to the page where I put all the info including all the food places at every resort ( including Swan and Dolphin ).
Here's the link

Hope it answers your questions :thumbsup2

Spoodles pizza at the take out window was great in 2005 :)

Claire ;)

Loved the Turkey Panini at BW bakery (esp on the dinning plan). We always got it with the Tiramisu or one of the other delicious desserts. Good value and delicious.

:sad2: No food court. Wish they had one though.

It's like they think we're made of money. If I am... God made me out of pennies. :rotfl:

Which of these choices are considered CS on the DDP? Is Spoodles Pizza window? Where at the Boardwalk can I use the CS credits? We will be using several at Epcot and I am looking for other options.
Thanks

Boardwalk has more restaurants attached to the resort itself than any other resort. However, they DON'T have a food court. They do have carts on the Boardwalk (crepes in addition to hot dogs - IIRC, but they are open oddly (seasonally, maybe weird times of the day - never when we've wanted them). There is the Spoodles pizza window. There is the Boardwalk Bakery (both which have limited options), there are usually sandwiches or something out at the pool bar. Sometimes the Bellevue Lounge has food in the mornings. The Screen Door has groceries as well.

The Swan and Dolphin as well as the Y&BC are both within walking distance - but with Epcot so close we find ourselves going into Epcot as often as not.

Generally speaking, the Deluxes have poor food courts/ counter service options compared to the Values and Moderates. Mara at the AKL is the best of them. I think the Boardwalk has better options than the Contemporary or the Poly.

we have sent someone (usually me) into epcot to buy fish and chips inside the back gate while everyone hangs out in the room. if i recall, it counted as a counter service meal.
