We are regular watchers of Good Eats & Rachel Ray shows. I have a secret crush on Alton Brown from Good Eats and actually looked him up in the phone book when we were in Marietta overnight. I didn't call though! ;P
I love the food network!! Some of my favorites include Alton brown, unwrapped, racheal ray, and Martha!
For those of you that like unwrapped you might like a show on the style network called 'stripped', it's basically the same as unwrapped except they show you how things like lipstick, suntan lotion, and things like that are made. I love the two shows, I think because I love to see the huge machines things are made in.
powellrj, have you tried Paula's mini cheesecakes she had on her Tea Party show? Those things are wonderful and so easy to make. I was embarrassed to find out she was from Georgia, I could've sworn she had an Alabama accent.
My favs are: 30 minute Meals, $40 A Day (Wouldn't it be neat to see if she could stay under budget at WDW?) and Paula's Home Cooking.
I also like Unwrapped and the show where they go to all of the different festivals across the country, I cannot remember the name.
my husband complains that it's the only channel I ever have on..lol..my favorite show is 30 minute meals with Rachel Ray..I have tried many of her recipes and everyone has turned out great..also love Barefoot Contessa and Paula's Home Cooking!..Good Eats, Unwrapped, and Emeril also have great recipes and tips for cooks!
I really enjoy watching the Food channel! Especially if my other favorite TY is on...(Tyler's Ultimate or Food 911). Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, and Bobby Flay are also fun to watch. Rachael's recipes are usually super easy and Paula's are sinfully yummy!!
In fact, I just printed off the recipe for Frozen Mohito Slushes...from the 30 Minute Meals site. Can't wait to whip up a batch!
I also watch Barefoot Contessa, $40 a day, Martha, Unwrapped, Food Finds and Bobby Flay is fun too.
I can't get in to Paula Deen's show though - maybe because all the butter she uses makes me cringe lol! I don't know what it is.
I like to go to the website and do some research before we go to a new city, especially the Food Finds portion, you can find some really great places to visit on there.
I have plenty of "food emergencies" but Tyler never shows up!!! Not even when the smoke detector is going off... shucks!!! It would be my luck that Mario would be filling in for Tyler....not that he's not a great chef, but he's not Tyler!!!
Ya know what IS it about him? I find him very attractive also!
I love his show, Unwrapped, Top 5, Emeril, both of Rachel Ray's shows (but, WHY WHY WHY must she use her hands when she talks...that drives me NUTS!) Food 911, and Food Finds. My son and I hop in bed and snuggle and watch Food Network every night... he's almost 3 and just loves Unwrapped when the beginning of the show had all the colorful jellybeans and stuff. He always wants to watch "food network...jellybeans!". My DH thinks we're nuts! LOL!
I love the food network! I think my favorite is 30 Minute Meals. Her recipes are so good and easy! I also like watching the Barefoot Contessa, Food 911 and Sara's Secret. Once in a while I'll catch Cooking Thin, she has some great recipes too.
Food Network is the best. Whenever you can't find anything on around the dial, there's always "something cooking"
My favorites are: Paula's Home Cooking, Barefoot Contessa, Everyday Italian (that one is my #1), Semi-Homemade Cooking
(lots of good shortcuts here) and Emeril Live. With Emeril, I have to admit I watch more for the "show" than the recipes. He cooks a number of things I'm not that crazy for.
I like the food ideas on 30 Minute Meals but Rachael Ray annoys me. (I realize I'm in the minority here JMHO).
