My older daughter has recently been dx'd and is insulin-dependent. Has anyone developed a spreadsheet listing food/carbs at DLR/DCA? She can eat whatever she wants, she just has to bolus for the carb intake. (For those not familiar she has an intake ratio of insulin to carbs that she must administer.)

TIA!!!

You can stop by Guest Services for the nutrition information I believe. I'm willing to bet if you looked at menus in this site, then emailed the dining dept, they would be able to email you carb counts. Your DD isn't the first to have it, and won't be the last.

While it's not the cleanest place to inject, there's sharps containers in all the bathrooms. Or you can always drop them off at the first aid station, I'm sure. (Personally, I carry around a mini sharps container when I travel [a larger one at home] so that I don't have to go looking for a container after I've taken my meds.) My mom was a type 1 diabetic for over 50 years, and traveled extensively, so I've learned a few tricks here and there ;)

My DH used generic numbers for each item he ate there- so he had numbers with him for example French fries or a burger- it might be handy in case you don't have access to every item so she can correct as close as possible in those cases (or if you eat outside of Disney for a meal and carb counts aren't available). Most places don't have too many out there options so you could look at menus and say we might eat a burger, sandwich, chicken, etc and get an estimated count just in case. Hope it goes well!!
