Hello again!

7/15 - Habour House (counter service). This is where Disney can be very expensive - especially if you have kids. Counter service throughout the parks are like going to the movie theater. It racks up pretty quickly. Anyway, I got the chicken fingers and my hubby got the soup and 1/2 sandwich deal. I was impressed that they had a vegetarian option (hummus sandwich). It was average at best.
Columbia's in Celebration - Went to visit friends who live in Celebration (really nice houses!!). They took us to the downtown area which is wonderful! Columbia's was marvelous. Too stuffed from the black bean soup to finish my entree of two small tenderloins and a small crock of scallops in a cheese sauce ( I can't remember the name of this combination entree, but it was wonderful!) to get dessert. No usage of our diabolical plan.:cool2: My husband had a grilled fish (my mind is playing tricks because I can't remember what he had. ARGH!) and said it was sublime. Good sangria as well.

7/16 - Mitsukoshi. Had sushi for lunch here. Some of the best sushi that I have had. I liked their miso soup because it had a combination of strips of tofu and small blocks of tofu. The iced green tea and the sakura drink are also very good.
Le Cellier - They are touted themselves as the best restaurant of the World Showcase. I haven't eaten at all of them yet, so I can not dispute their claims. The best steakhouse I have eaten at - hands down. I have eaten at Morton's, McCormick and Schmick's (wrong spelling) and practically any of the big name steakhouses and Le Cellier was unbelievable. The filet was melt-in-your-mouth and my husband's NY strip was fantastic. We did mention our anniversary, but they did not give us a free dessert, which was fine. They did give us a card signed by the staff which was cute. We ordered the dessert sampler and was treated to some wonderful desserts - sorbet, a chocolate torte and a maple creme brulee. WOW!!:goodvibes

7/17 - Todd English's BlueZoo: This is the closest to a Vegas/Miami type restaurant in Disney. Created for the hip and happening, it is blue-tiful with a sea theme. Great speciality drinks although I would stay away from the avocado margarita. It tastes good, but it didn't agree with my husband. I had a tuna tartare appetizer that was to die for. My hubby had a scallop appetizer which was also very good. He had a Wahoo with a light sauce ( i forget which one) and I had the salmon with a crabmeat and scallions sauce. Both were wonderful. They gave us a dessert sampler for our anniversary (It worked again!) which had the best sorbet I've ever had. It also had a chocolate, peanut butter thingy that was so good I don't how to describe it. Best restaurant for me during the whole trip.

The world showcase has some great speciality drinks like the Chocolate Dream in th UK and the Kir Royale in France. It was fun to try different tastes in this wonderful park.

All in all, a feast of wonderous proportions. All of the food was good, but some were better than other. i do also recommend going over to the Boardwalk area. We made PS at Spoodles, but never made it. The menu looked good. ESPN had some nice speciality drinks as well.

Thanks for reading!!

I loved reading your reviews; makes me wish I was in WDW this instant........eating. :D

I had casually mentioned that it was my 30th birthday in November while I was making my PSs. At every single restaurant all week, they trotted out a birthday dessert. I was really just looking for a good table at the California Grill! I guess I don't think it's dishonest, since it was their anniversary. They just celebrated it all week!! If their anniversary was in December and they were telling people it was in July . . . that's different.

Thanks again for the great review. My DH and I are planning on Bluezoo for our trip next month and your review helped. I don't think you stating your anniversary more than once during your trip is dishonest. It's not uncommon as I've read about the same thing in many other posts here on the DIS. All of the PS's I made for my honeymoon 2 years ago had it stated, as well as, my DH's birthday which we celebrated while down there. When I made those PS's the CM suggested it! We are going for our anniversary and Dh's birthday next month and it's stated on all of our PS's for this trip, too. Again, the CM suggested we celebrate our whole trip, which we will! :D

Thanks for your support of the "devious" plan. It's not being dishonest because I know of people who celebrate their birthdays for an entire month. Our anniversary is 7/13 and we went to Disney to celebrate our anniversary. We also went under the impression that if we got a special treat, then Bravo. If we did not get anything, so what - we were in the best place in the world! The same thing happened during our honeymoon (We went to New Orleans). Some places gave us special treatment while others did not. No skin off our backs! It's was in the spirit of celebration and isn't that what Disney is all about?:earsboy: :earsgirl: :teeth:

Okay, am I the only one who thinks that your anniversary trick is dishonest? I mean, okay, isn't once the way it should be???

No, I don't think it's wrong to celebrate an anniversary all week long. I think it's more wrong and rude to taint Shardiva's dining report with a comment like this when she was kind enough to share her dining experiences with us.

Shardiva, I love Le Cellier too and I can't wait to try Bluezoo sometime. Thanks for taking your time to share with us!

Shardiva - I agree with your I'll tell and if they acknowledge great if not also great we're at Disney attitude. Don't let others taint your memories. Thanks for sharing, your food reviews I enjoyed reading them.

To get back to the food ;) where's bluezoo? I've never heard of it before but the food you had there sounds delish

Thanks

The BlueZoo is in the Dolphin. Lower level. In fact, if you get off of the boat from the Boardwalk and walk to the Dolphin, it is the first restaurant on your right. Great atmostphere!!
