We usually do alot of our counter service eating at the food court where we are staying.

We just booked Coronado with the Free Dining and have never stayed there before. Of course we know the moderates have nice food courts.........

HOWEVER we have thought about switching to either Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom Lodge but how is their food court? Do they even have one? I know WL has Roaring Forks but I've never been inside so don't know about the choices. What about AKL??

Do you think its worth an extra 1,000 to stay at either WL or AKL?

Thank you so much!

WL has Roaring Forks and AK has Mara. As far as if it's worth an extra $1000 to stay at one of them, I guess if that's what you want. Seems like a lot of $$ to me, why is it so much more? Are you staying a gazillion days or something? ;)

Roaring Forks is newly refurbished, and seems a little larger, but still not as large as the Mara, and surely not as large as the food courts at the moderate and deluxe resorts. If food course are a major criterion for you, you probably don't want to stay at a deluxe resort.

Roaring Forks and Mara have limited meal choices, so I wouldn't exactly put them on the same level as a true food court, which has several places to choose from and several types of food. They are both great, though - Roaring Forks has the best cheeseburgers!! And I love Mara. I'd upgrade just for the enjoyment of the resort, but if you need a "traditional" food court like POR then these won't be what you are used to.

We are staying 9 nights in September. Moderates are 2,700, Wilderness Lodge is almost $3,900 and AKL regular view is $3,500 approx.

We are still debating on what to do.

If you're basing your entire decision on where to stay based on the food court (which I hope you're not), then AKL wins hands-down. It has a lot more choices than WL and the dining room is definitely larger and there are more cashiers than at WL. Plus, they will sell you packages of just Zebra Domes in the cold food case. Yummmmm!!!!

We're staying at WL - standard view - for 9 nights in late Aug. 3 adults & 1 jr - 8 day ph's & free dining - $3300. Your quote seems kind of high.

Pooch

Humm, did you add on the water parks and park hoppers??
