We will be at CBR December 2-10. How is the food court selection? We were very dissapointed with the food court at AKL a few years ago.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the food court selections.

The Grab and Go section had lots of fresh baked items, salads, sandwiches, yogurt, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, jello, assortment of pies and an assortment of drinks.

The Italian section had pizzas, baked ziti, fresh tossed chicken caesar salads, spaghetti and bread sticks.

Another station had burgers, chicken strips and hot dogs. The kids' chicken nugget meal came in a sand pail they can keep.

The next station had all kinds of hot and cold sandwiches. Our favorites were the Reuben and the shaved beef and cheese.

At dinner, the last station had a selection of meats and vegetables.

You can check out the menus at www.allearsnet.com. Click on Dining. Scroll down to Menus. Find Caribbean Beach Resort and tah dah! Menus!

Oops forgot to mention the breakast items. The Grab and Go station had yummy breakfast pastries. There were fresh made omelets, scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits, bacon and sausage. We also loved the waffles topped with fruit.

One day we got sandwiches from the Grab and Go section because we were too tired to do anything else -- they were fabulous. We also had a "hot" meal one night. It was average. We also had a breakfast platter one morning and it was tasty.

I think you'll be VERY pleased! We agree with you, by the way. We prefer the food court at CBR (a true food court, I might add) to the snack bar at AKL -- many many many more selections, more seating, and we always can find something we want! I think you'll love it!

We just returned by CBR 2 weeks ago and the food court was great! Lots of selections and very good food.

We have stayed at CBR many times over the years, but we really do not eat at the food court very often. On our trip this past June, we ate there twice. The first time we had chicken ceasar salads which are always a favorite of ours. The second time we had the personal size pizzas and greek salad. The pizza was not good at all and the salad was drenched in dressing and I like a lot of dressing on my salads, but this was crazy drenched. We actually took two small salads that came with our pizza and added them to the greek salad and it was still a lot of dressing!! We should have taken it back and had them remake it, but we were heading out to see Fantasmic that evening and didn't want to take the time.

We have never had breakfast there, but it always looks good when we are walking through.

The Grab and Go section is good for muffins, bananas, snacks, etc.

Hmm to each his own, nepew scarfed down a couple of cheese pizzas and I helped during our stay. We got the pizza combo meal and the side salad was awesome. There was a selection of dressing available on the counter. I took one, but never used it the salad was excellent dry.

We did eat breakfast there and I'm sorry we only did it once. Got the platter and shared it. Lasted me from about 10am to a 6:30pm dinner at Boma. Only snack I had in between was a Mickey bar.

If you are on the dining plan CBR offers excellent value and selection, but what really stands out is the CMs. They told if we couldn't have something, but also helped me use a couple of final CS credits and it was CM who pointed out that the pizza meal was a combo! By the way we didn't grab baked goods from the grab and go, but there are many and the cupcakes are HUGE. We grabbed carrot cake in the pizza or deli station coolers. Next time we had lunch there we grabbed ice cream treats. There are also plenty of fresh fruit options, including a fruit and cheese tray.

we just returned from CBR and were totally disappointed in the food court... there were never any sandwiches at grab 'n go, only at the sandwich place (which only had three types of sandwiches, if that), which closes at 3pm and re-opens at 5pm as a hot food/dinner full meal type station... breakfast did not have much variety... desserts seemed limited...

all this is compared to french quarter, all stars and pop's food courts... they had awesome grab 'n go sandwiches, tons of desserts (like tie dye cheesecake! twinkie tiramisu! beignets! homemade cookies made into ice cream sandwiches), much better hot dog/hamburger/chicken finger meals...

personally, the lousy foodcourt is one reason i would not go back to CBR!

Going there on the 19th, we use tolove the court there, hope it's still as good.

The pictures and menus from the food court is one of the reasons we chose the CBR. We are getting excited about our trip!!! :cool1:
