We are doing a day at DHS and are on the dining plan. I just don't like any TS restaraunts in that park. What other DDP restaraunts could we easily access mid day from DHS?

Captain's Grille is a short, pleasant boat ride away. DH and I have gone there for lunch on our DHS day.

If you have park hopper you could always go to EPCOT

DHS is also close to CSR and the All star resorts

walk or take the boat over to the Epcot resort area or Epcot itself. The boat will be relaxing but it takes more time. The walk is about 15-20 minutes. Beaches and Cream, ESPN and Big River Grille are TS locations in that area. Beaches and Cream does not take ADRs and can have a wait.

If you have park hoppers the international gateway enters between France and UK. Choosing Le Cellier or Rose and Crown would minimize your walking in Epcot.

One other option is to bus it over to Coronado Springs which is the closest non Epcot Resort. The Maya Grill is TS and Pepper Market is a unique CS location.

You can take a quick boat ride to the Boardwalk resort area. You'll have access to BC, YC and BWI. All have several options for the dining plan. For QS there is boardwalk bakery (BWI), Hurricane Hannah's (BC - pool area), Beach club marketplace (BC). For TS credits there is Beaches and Cream, Captain's Grille, Big River Grille, and ESPN club. Epcot is also a stop on the same boat ride but I would think that would take more time then you'd want to spend.

On our last trip we took the boat to the Beach Club and had super at "Cape May Cafe". It is an excellent option if you like sea food. :thumbsup2

We then took the boat back to DHS to enjoy the rest of the evening. My only advice is to check the calendar beforehand. We did not have a hopper pass (couldn't really go to another park) and it was Fantasmic:wizard: night at DHS so there were hundreds upon hundreds of people going to DHS for the evening. We ended up waiting A LOT for a boat to bring us back.

I would recommend taking the boat the Beach Club and eating at Beaches & Cream. Over there they don't take ADR's however there might be a line up to get in depending on the time, although I personally think it's worth the wait.

Kouzzina at the Boardwalk, you can take the boat there, or even walk.

I second Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club..great for lunch or dinner. It is one of our favorites.

Take the boat! That is a LONGGGGGGG walk to the Yacht Club from DHS. The walk back and forth would be about the same, if not more, than all the walking you would do for the day at DHS. Plus, after a big meal, ugggg.

We have do the ESPN:cheer2: for lunch on our DHS day altho we pay OOP for it .
We have popcorn at DHS around 11:00 to hold us over and then head to the BW around 1:00.

Just my 2 cents.... last trip there in Feb of this year we were so excited to go back to ESPN as it was always a fav. This time, YUCK! I got sick from my meal pulled pork. Should have known when it arrived at about room temp. Nobody liked the quality of their meals. So this is probably off our list.

Later in the trip we ate a late dinner at Big River Grille which is somewhat maligned here on the Dis. Our food was fresh and tasty and the service good too.

they don't serve lunch, if looking for mid-day access means you are interested in lunch.

In that area, on the dining plan, Captain's Grill, Beaches & Cream, ESPN and Big River Grill are really the only TS lunch options.
