Food and Wine Preview Tables In Wonderland Event (2016-06-26)

I like the idea of the special themed Party for the Senses - and I wonder if it is that first one that relates to what you were talking about with regards to a Disney Springs event - on October 8th

ahh your right! that is the event they were talking about. I edited my posts to remove the question from the other and put in my "I'll be at that description" of what it really is.

Am I understanding this right? Festival tasting sampler is $59. You get to choose 8 different dishes around WS and a pin?

Normally each dish is around $5.
5x8=40 so the pin is $19?? Or did prices go way up per dish? Tell me what I'm missing.

There's not that many that are really at the $5 mark, I find the ones that peak my interest to be in the 7-10 range so it might save a couple dollars if what you want to try is the higher priced.

but I'm also thinking nothing is really going to be near $5 anymore. $5 gets you a bottle of soda lately, I can't see the food staying low with how much prices have gone up everywhere else. I hope i'm wrong though.

Thanks for taking the time to post this! Very interesting.

I agree that many of the dishes seem very heavy. The scallop looks great, but I'll miss the one from Scotland.

We did this last year and definitely got our money's worth! With a little planning, the Sampler is a wise purchase! ;)

Bryan, Any chance you could scan in page #7. It appears to be missing and there's no info in your scans about the events in Italy which are probably on the missing page. Thanks.

Not sure how I missed that.. page 7 added to post #15

It's a great deal if you like the $10 cocktails and wine samples. (8x$10=$80 so $80-59=$21 discount)

I fully intend to purchase the package myself. You don't have to use the coupons all in one day. I'll be staying a full week in walking distance of Epcot during F&W so I may need to buy more than one. LOL!

Last year I used the Sampler for the pricier cocktails over a 5 or 6 period. It was a very sad moment when I realized I was down to my last coupon!

I bought the sampler last year after they decided not to limit your usage to one specific day. It was originally intended to be used on one specific date when purchased that was supposed to correspond to the date of the Eat to The Beat concert you chose to attend (reserved seating for the concert was part of the package last year but seems to have been removed from the package this year). Supposedly the printing was done incorrectly so they let you use the food entitlements on whatever day during the festival you wanted so they didn't need to be used all in one day. If it is the same this year it is worth the cost as long as you use it for the pricier food & drink items from the booths. Only Champagnes & Flights were excluded last year but the entitlements could only be used at the "Official" F & W Booths. You couldn't use them at the Coffee Kiosks, Fife & Drum, Outpost, Block & Hans, Refreshmentport. The first few days some of these places took them but they quickly put a stop to it. As long as each item you choose cost more than $7.38 you make out on the deal. Figure the value of the pin to be at least $10 & you make out even better as any booth item over $6.12 will meet your minimum spend to at least break even.

Thanks for posting this info! 1st time for F&W, Eat to the Beat Concert. Was curious when ETTB Concert Packages went on sale, see from post, July 21st. Yeah!

DPB has been late on everything this year, MNSSHP, MVMCP, etc. I agree to caught up in too many special events & too many crazy price increases. IMO, all do not have the expected return currently.
:disrocks:

Great write up! Nice to see there's a sampler, I could totally use that for drinks. Is this the entire menu or just a portion of it?

That was the menu for this specific preview event, it is nowhere near the food and wine menu... this was a preview of what's new at food and wine this year.

Thanks! It makes total sense that they wouldn't preview things that have been there before, just didn't think about it.

In addition to the information I have already put out.. D23 in a newsletter today announce another food and wine experience combined with halloween.

This thing is pretty much an ALL day event and might be worth the price, especially if you want to buy your way into the chew taping but considering what some tickets for other things cost, this might not be overboard since they are talking about mutiple experiences.. You get the chew, a sampling of food (might be part of the taping), a desert style party in france and a VIP illuminations experience.. There also seems to be some swag with a gift card and cook book. That's not bad for $125 in my mind.. If I wanted to sit in the taping I might consider it.. If my mom is going to be in town, I'll be at this with her!

Also to note, this is the same day as the exclusive d23 tower of terror after hours behind the scenes event (different price and ticket). (this event sounds like a party inside the ride to me!, I WILL BE AT THIS ONE!)
