Food and Wine on a dime! Advice, please.

I just read this on the F&W page on Disney's website.

Disney Gift Card

Don’t forget to purchase a Festival-themed Disney Gift Card for an easy way to pay as you taste your way around the world. New this year, this limited-release gift card design celebrates 20 years of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. The card must be activated with $200 and comes with an Epcot International Food & Wine Festival-themed lanyard and carrying sleeve, available only with this gift card purchase. Don't miss out! Supplies of this Festival exclusive are limited.
Disney Gift Cards are available at Festival merchandise locations throughout the park.

The Disney Gift Card can be used at select Disney destinations nationwide. For a complete list of participating locations, terms and conditions, visit DisneyGiftCard.com.

All the more reason to make my own wristlet GC!

Ouch, off to make my own too. No way do I want $200 for one person! Thanks for the information!

I think the one posted above is a special one, it says limited release and that it comes with a special lanyard. I assume they will still have the basic little ones with the wrist strap for any amount.

We will be visiting F&W in November for 1 day (4 nights at WDW). I haven't decided if I will have the standard dining plan or not. In the past, we bought Disney GC at home and then used them on food and found it was a better deal.
If we get the dining plan, would using the snack credits at F&W be a good value (we would have 16 for our family)? Or should we stick to buying gift cards and using them?

Snack credits can be a good value for certain foods but not all of them. Chances are very good that there will be a thread on the restaurants boards (and also a post on the disneyfoodblog) that details the best bang for your buck for snack credits.
