Food and Wine Festival

In past years we've always loved the Durban chicken in So Africa:woohoo: Cheddar cheese soup, chicken sha cha and many many more. 38 days and counting:yay:

We love everything! We go every year and the food is so yummy. DH and I tend to share things so we do not get too full..we like to get a bite from each stand....;)

Beer and wine. Oh and food.

I liked Australia and Poland, plus my all time favorite, the Great Beers of the World kiosk in UK. I hope they put it up again this year!

Chilaquiles!!!!!!!!
Oh and the wine:rotfl2:

How much do you spend on average when going to the Festival MArketplace for food?

You spend 1-6 dollars on most stuff, not including the alcohol.

Now here is my list of my favorite stuff from past festivals.

The Sausage Pizza from Italy, Lingonberry Mousse from Norway, Coco Rico Soda from Puerto Rico, Apple Strudel from Germany, Caramel Ginger Ice Cream from China, Kiwi Custard Roll from New Zealand, Spicy Beef Empanada from Argentina, Mango & Tapioca Dessert Soup from Thailand, Savory Bacon and Onion Tart from a booth that escapes my mind right now, Coconut Rice Pudding from India, Chicken Bastilla from Morocco, Chocolate Creme Brulee from France, Cheddar Cheese Soup and Maple Custard from Canada, and Finally............. My Favorite Dish From all of the F&W Festival, Chicken Sha Cha from China!

Was that enough for ya?

Great to hear...

We going to be down there and are thinking of stopping at Epcot Center for this...

I'm thinking I should cancel my dinner reservations for oour day at Epcot. It sounds like you could fill up preety quickly on snack/tastes.

Unless you really want to eat at that particular restaurant, I'd definitely say to cancel your ADR and pig out at the Food Fest! Lots of great food to eat and lots of interesting selections to try!

Just DO NOT try the rice wine and sake at the same time.

Not that I would know anything about that...

Do they serve food all day or just certain times of the day?

All day. There are kiosks all over representing different countries with TONs of food and lots of wine and beer. Also Eat to the Beat -- or whatever they'll call it this year and a lot of drunks running around. Well, maybe not running. I tend to stagger.

We definintley plan one day at the Food & Wine Festival without any other ADR's. We just "Nosh Around the World" all day and evening and we are definitly full. Since we are on the DDP having one day without an ADR allows us to experience one 2 TS meal during the week. The best of both worlds.
As far as the question of cost, it can add up. We sample food, beer and wine. (DH beer, and me wine, not both for each :rotfl: ) It can add up pretty fast. Most food choices are in the $ 3- $ 4 range each. I don't know about the beverages. We plan for it in advance, so we are prepared. We use our room key to charge to the room for the most part.
I feel it is well worth it.
