Food and Wine Festival

F&W Fest. is so much fun. Epcot offers seminars, wine walk abouts, special lunches and dinners with guest speakers, etc. World showcase has carts/areas that represent many different countries that offer samples (for a cost) of that countries food/drink. It's alot of fun for both kids and adults. Here's a link to the DW website page. I have been twice before and am going back again this year. Hope you get to enjoy it!

I look forward to it every year. Different kiosks from many countries offer 2-3 appetizers and 2-3 wine choices for $3-$6 dollars per choice. (I think that's accurate-ish)

39 days, baby!

I love the Food and Wine Festival for the entire atmosphere the event offers. But my favorite things are to simply stroll the WS and try the different offerings at the 25+ booths, I also like some of the seminars and the EAT to the BEAT concerts!!! You'd be surprised how many people come to the festival just for the concerts and watch 2 or all 3 shows nightly!!!

We have gone the last two years and we loved it. Great food, wine and beers. The concert series is wonderful also. I think they have the Beach Boys this year. If you are on the dining plan the apps. and tapas qualify as a snack also. During the week the crowds were very light with the weekends being a little crowded. Last year they had an agriculture area w/ a honey faarmer and a peanut farmer. My 7 yr. old daughter had a little crush on the little boy whose father was the peanut farmer. He was the cutest little boy and showed her everything you could ever want to know about growing peanuts. All in all a definite don't miss.

Are these "cash-only" or can you just charge it to your room key? I ask because I very rarely carry cash with me anymore and want to be prepared....

I would be absolutely shocked if you can't use your room key. I haven't tried it, but I know you can use debit/credit cards, gift cards and disney dollars. So I'd assume you must be able to use the room key. It wouldn't make sense not to be able to. I think you're safe there.

I know there is a special handout that gives times and locations for all the special seminars for a weeks time. There is also a brochure out currently that gives a general overview of this years Festival. The specialty lunch/dinners and wine pairs can be reserved ahead of time. The starting date for this has already passed, but depending on when you are going, I am sure you can still sign up for some.
