Has anyone done the Party for the Senses and would you recommend this event? I was thinking of trying it but would love to hear from people who have done it. Thanks for your help !!!!:confused3

HI, My DH and I did the PFTS last year. I really loved it! DH liked it also but not as much as I did. It is like one big cocktail party. LOL the hardest part was trying to keep track of which food we tasted and which we did not. Some ppl will say to get in the front of the line and hurry up to find a table etc. I didn't find that to be really necessary. I do suggest though to take some wine glass charms to identify your own glass. Which btw you get to keep! Try everything! Also fyi, you have only water, tea, coffee and wine to to choose from. Don't wear high heels unless you are really really comfortable in them. Dress is nice casual. The Cirque du Soliel performers were really a let down as we expected more of a show then what we saw. The food was a wonderful experience. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

We did it a few years ago. It was a lot of fun and a lot of really good food & wine. At the time we decided that we were glad to experience it but felt that there were other special F & W events we would rather attend with the money instead of attending another PFTS. I felt that the price was a bit much for a 2 1/2 hour event. Looking at the offerings for this year and the prices it is tempting to do another PFTS rather than some of the other over priced 2 hour events. We will probably do one of the City Taste events instead though. If you do go eat very lightly during the day so you can really enjoy all the food at PFTS.

It's a wonderful way to try everything you can imagine. I liked everything we tried. You can get drunk! with all the liquor offered.

Some strategies I would use is to go early and get in early--stay by the entrance doors. Head for the back or Cirque stage area for a table. We took turns going up for food; so, our table was safe. By heading to the back right off you will have no wait to try foods at a few tables. Of course, this will change quickly as more people head toward the back. Some tables were without chairs. We did let others join us; we were a party of two and our table sat four. Later after we had our fill of food and such we walked around more. We joined a family near the the stage once the entertainment started.

I feel like the other poster where once you try an event I'd rather go to another, different event. Once was enough for us but it was worth it.

My partner was in shorts and we were ok. The dress code is business casual. There were about half the people dressed to kill and the other half had park clothes on but no jeans or torn clothes. I think the better dressed ones came for just the party.

This event reminded me of the cities that have taste festivals like the Taste of Chicago.

Thanks everyone !!!! I think we will go. It sounds like fun. Is anyone else going to this event or any other events? I was also thinking of going to one of the food and wine pairing (Italy). I would love to hear what others are doing !!!

We are planning on going on the 25th. My wife and I have done this event double-digit times now - only caution is that the two we did last year seemed really over-booked compared to previous years. It's still probably the best value of all the F&W events.
