My hubby and I are thinking about taking a short trip down (without kids!) to try out the FWF that we read so much about. We'd love some advice from you veterans out there!

What are the dates it is running this year? Does it begin in August?

If we go for 3-4 days is that enough time to enjoy the festival and relax or are there different events every day/night?

Where would you prefer to stay - boardwalk? We only need a studio, we're DVC but may stay in one of the hotels if we found a great rate, and would plan this for a Monday-Thursday stay.

I'd love to hear about your experiences with this type of trip - any advice and suggestions are most welcome!

TIA :yay:

Great idea! F&W Fest is wonderful! (especially sans-kids but don't tell MY kids! LOL!) I would try for a BWV or BCV studio just to be able to walk back at night - or why don't you splurge a bit and get a 1 bedroom so you have the big jacuzzi tub! :goodvibes Check out the point chart for a 1 bedroom standard view villa at BWV, it might not be too bad! :thumbsup2 As for the days, Mon-Thurs would be fine, but Party for the Senses are only held on Saturdays, so you wouldn't be able to do that. Take a look at last years schedule to get an idea of what is offered...

The 2007 dates are:
September 28 - November 11, 2007

I would go in late October, if I were you...

Have fun planning!

Heheh. Maybe it's time for me to post a pre-trip report. ;)

I'll be down for the F&WF (Food and Wine Festival) mid-October. I am
splurging my points on a 1 BR at BCV (just me so far!), and it's really a
great location for the festival. I highly recommend booking BCV or BWV,
but they are gone FAST due to the festival popularity.

The special dining events aren't available to book until late July, and when
the reservation line opens, it's a zoo. Usually the DIS and other sites will
have a breakdown on festival events about a week or so before the bookings
can be made.

I will ramble on here, so I better put together my Food and Winopalooza
pre-trip report soon. :)
