Food and Wine dining

I'm going to be at the Dolphin in November with a group of 8 high school kids. I've been looking at dining reservations during this time, and I'm having trouble finding places that can accommodate my entire group. Since the Food and Wine Fest will be in its final week, I'm thinking we can just rely on counter service and the food booths for most of our food while in Epcot. I've never been during this time, but I'm familiar with the concept. The small plates appeal greatly to me because I've had gastric bypass and can't eat large portions. I think the kids I'm taking are pretty adventurous eaters. There are 7 girls and 1 boy. I guess what I'm wondering is if the a few stops at food booths will be enough to fill them up. Opinions?

About 4 years ago I went with 2 teenage boys. I don't know if it filled them up but I do recall that they enjoyed just as much as I do walking up to the booth looking at the sign and deciding if they wanted to try anything. And they tried things that I wouldn't or I recall 1 time I paid for something in Mexico and my son liked it so much that when I asked for a bite he looked at me and said hell no it was so good. I have gone 4 times. Last year it took me 5 days to eat everything I wanted to eat. Each day I went I ate at about 4 to 5 booths trying 1 to 2 dishes at each. ( I haven't had gastric bypass but I have lost almost 40lbs and can't eat what I use too.). I also usually have 1 drink and carry water with me. I personally think it's a lot of fun to try lots of different food. It's a little expensive but well worth. I'm going with my mom this year so she can experience it. So in answer to your question I think it depends on the kid if it will fill them up or not. But enjoy it it's a cool experience. If you have question message me.

As a parent it's a little expensive for high school kids to fill up on.

Agreed. I think they'd be looking at 3-5 plates each, and at an average of $5 a pop that could add up quick... Then add drinks on top of that! A quick service meal would likely fill them up more and work out a lot cheaper!

Maybe for lunch do the food booths...for dinner for HS kids, a less expensive and more filling option will be a counter service meal. :lmao:
If your schedule allows, avoid weekends too. ENJOY F&W!:cheer2:

While this is true, OP was looking for TS ADRs in EP, so a TS meal would be around the same price or more, especially when you add in tip.

OP, ask the kids. Show them the menus and the pictures of the food and see what they think.
