This will be our first year attending the Swan and Dolphin's Food and Wine Classic and I had a few questions.

Is the causeway kid friendly?

If we were to buy the a la carte tickets for $50 would we be able to split them btwn our kids or does each person need to buy their own tickets?

How old are your kids? Not sure how kid friendly it is, probably moreso at some stops than others. I'd think the carnival food stops would be more friendly than Shula's, but I'm not sure.

As for causeway tickets being split up, I think that will be fine.

I went year before last and honestly can't recall seeing any children. It's fairly adult. I'm taking my 15 year old granddaughter this year but I got her the full priced ticket so she can sample all of the food; the 25 tickets with some items taking 6 tickets wouldn't be enough for her. She's a very mature 15 year old but honestly, I don't see her enjoying this event but her parents really want to go so she's going too. If she was younger, I would probably use Camp Dolphin for a few hours, only because I don't think she's going to find this event very much fun.

Au contraire! Yes, I consider this a kid friendly event and I have been every year but one! There is music, and lighting which creates an atmosphere. And there is DANCING with two different bands. It feels very much like a party/celebration rather than a staid cocktail party. I think your children might like it very much... There is a section which I consider aimed at children (The Carnival Corner). This is a great opportunity for parents to introduce their children to interesting food.

We've been to this event several times. You will see children there but it really is more of an adult thing. The large majority of booths are wine merchants. Much wine tasting goes on. Generally though the crowd is well behaved.
