Food allergies at Universal?

WDW does such a great job handling food allergies- is there anywhere at Universal Studios that I can get info on food allergens?

We offer a variety of fresh, delicious food for our guests to enjoy. For the convenience of our guests with special dietary needs, we have chefs in residence at each of our full-service restaurants (Lombard’s Seafood Grille and Finnegan’s Bar & Grill in Universal Studios Florida®, and Mythos Restaurant® and Confisco Grille® in Universal’s Islands of Adventure®) who can create meals customized to suit individual tastes and needs. In addition, the managers at any of our quick-service restaurants can assist with specific menu questions to help you select appropriate items during your visit.
While outside food and beverages are generally not permitted in our parks, guests with special dietary needs and/or medical conditions are permitted to bring small soft-sided coolers containing food and/or medical supplies. Please be advised that all bags are subject to search prior to entering our parks.

attagirl, do your contact with the chefs before you get to universal.

that way you will have all the details worked out in advance.

Attagirl, I have 3 celiac family members including one who is also lactose intolerant. Universal did a great job when we were last there. The chef and waitstaff at RPR in particular get five stars from me -- in addition to having gf options, they would also make special things (not on the menu) like donuts for the kids.

We did prefer the sit-down restaurants at the parks rather than taking a chance with counter service. Mythos and Confisco's were our favorites.
