Hi everyone. We're allergic to artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, and MSG.

That said- are we doomed? I know at TS places we can talk to the chef and let him or her know our allergies. At CS and snack stands, we're not so lucky. Does anyone have any tips on snack items that are free of the above allergens? We're going to be brining a LOT in to the parks with us, things like fruits, nuts, etc. Any other tips on items we could buy in the parks to have? I know Divvies are scattered around, as are French Meadow products. But the allergen guide I got from Disney is pretty vague.

THANKS!!!! :goodvibes

My experience is that not a lot of items have MSG or artificial sweeteners. Chefs don't add MSG to their food at WDW but there are some premade foods brought in from outside that do have MSG. Special Diets should hopefully be able to send you a list of what to avoid for those two. Hopefully.

Artificial colours will be more difficult. You might want to try googling Feingold at Disney World. There should be some blogs from people who follow this diet and have travelled to WDW. Feingold from my understanding avoids all artificial colourings and flavourings and doesn't allow MSG or artificial sweeteners. There may be additional restrictions on that diet but anything allowed on that diet I believe should be safe for you.

Hopefully somebody with experience in these foods will come along and offer personal experience.
