There was a great thread on multiple food allergy issues in WDW. I would like to know if the same info applies to DLR?

I have a daughter who is anaphylactic to peanuts and another daughter who was recently diagnosed Type 1 diabetes.

Someone in the WDW thread mentioned that there is a list of all the foods and their ingredients found in Disney. Is thislist available for DLR too? And does it also have nutrient info...ie: carb counts?

Can you tell me where to find this booklet/list? Or who in DLR to contact for the information?

I already knew the info about telling the staff at sit down restaurants in disneyland but I would love to have a booklet with detailed nutrient info for all the food places if that were available . That would be amazing.

Talk to Chris and he should help you.
Sit down restaurants are safer and have chefs who will walk you through the menu. DLR does not have the facilities of WDW which has plenty of land to build state of the art offices and kitchens.

Table service is supposed to have ingredients for all foods and be able to meet your needs. I am still exploring this myself as I have celiac and allergies. Neither coast has carb counts, calories, or anything for guests. The best thing to do is guestimate like they serve chicken nuggets so how many carbs in ones you get in the store. They use Dryer's/Edy's ice cream which has that warning about made in the same factory as peanuts. Catch a Flave is soft serve but it has pecan ice cream. Dole Whips are nut free.

I am not up to speed and wish I could help more but for now write Chris and talk with him. his number is on that site I posted.
Chefs at DLR restaurants are like WDW, they try hard with what limitations they have.

We have a son with type 1 and are used to WDW where it is relatively easy to buy fresh fruit at the parks for snacks. Sharing a frozen strawberry bar works for him too. At DL it was very hard to find fresh fruit and all the frozen treats were things like Mickey bars. Our last trip was two years ago I think so hopefully it has changed but just wanted to warn you to make sure you have snacks with you.

Disneyland does have fresh fruit for sale at many place like in Hollywood, Bountiful Harvest, Near Splash Mountain, and Tomorrowland. There are more but cannot think of them at top of my head but theya re plentiful.

That's good. I probably should have also said that we had trouble finding anything for our son's morning snack. Perhaps those places open later in the day or could it be a recent change? We asked all over the place at the time.
