My daughter is allergic to eggs, milk, casein and beef. I know that we are fine at our table service meals but am concerned about the counter service meals. Does anyone have experience with food allergies and the kids menus? She can eat chicken but most nuggets are breaded with eggs or milk.
Thanks

They have allergy chicken tenders available at a lot of the CS places that are free of all top 8 allergens and are better than the regular nuggets.

Also, at CS, just tell the, there are allergies and you will talk to a manager who has a binder of ingredients. If there's nothing on the child's menu, I would guess that they would be okay with you getting something that is safe from the regular menu. But I don't know 100% about that because I've only been as an adult with allergies but they are very very accommodating.

Are you on DDP? If not, you can order whatever they have on the menu for her. It doesn't have to be a kids meal.

I ate at a fair number of CS places with peanut, tree nut, egg, dairy, soy, shellfish, wheat, coconut and sesame allergies.....along with a few other allergies and they were very helpful and accommodating for me. But again, I'm an adult...not a kid so she may not like the types of things I got sometimes.

As disfan07 said, the allergy chicken tenders will be safe. They're DELICIOUS too. Other than the chicken tenders, not a lot of the kids meals will be safe. Sunshine Seasons in Epcot will have plenty of options. At Flame Tree BBQ in AK the chicken drumstick should be safe. Make sure to go by the allergy kiosk at AK to get some goodies and to check to see if there are other options. I think they may have a pizza at Pizzafari but I'm not positive. At DHS you can get the allergy chicken tenders at most of the CS locations (avoid Starring Rolls). In MK you can get the chicken tenders at Columbia Harbour House. I believe that Be Our Guest has kids menu items that should be safe as well.

At your resort, a chef will be able to make a kid size portion of something safe for him. We much prefer CS at our resort and TS in the parks for this reason.

We started our fun journey with multiple food allergies back when my kids were still Disney kids (under 10) and we used the dining plan back then. They didn't have the allergy chicken tenders back then so that wasn't an option. If there wasn't anything on the kids menu that they could eat then the manager would allow us to order something not on the kids menu.

As disfan07 said, if you're not using a dining plan then you're free to order whatever you want regardless of age.

Just as a heads up, if you are ordering something that is normal an adult's item and trying to get a child's size, verify that they can do a child size and charge you a child's price so there aren't any surprises.
We have fairly bad luck with CS, but among the strange issues have been places offering to make a small order of something for our 4 year old, and then it gets rung up for $10 with no drink or dessert.

I would go take a look on allears to check out menus for places you want to go in advance. Some people have had luck with CS locations going and getting food from other locations for them, but our experience has been if they don't have it we have been told to go elsewhere as often as we have had them serve us. The only non-resort counter service who have served my son have been Columbia Harbor house, sunshine seasons and backlot express. To be fair, we have only been turned away from Pinocchio village haus, studio catering co, starring rolls, and columbia harbor house (different manager that day) so we have not tried a lot. It only takes one turn away for us to start asking TS for walk-ins now.

If you are staying on-site, I recommend contacting special diets because you have 4 allergies and 2 are not specifically on their checklist. That way if you plan to eat at your resort they will know to get in edible items for you. We have found eating at our resort to be much easier when figuring out CS.

I don't think all the CS places had the chicken nuggets that were egg and dairy free. I do recall my son ate them at chef mickeys (I know not CS) and at captain cooks at the poly.

And he loved them! He is super picky too!

1) ALL counter service eateries have allergy "books"
. . . listed by allergy
. . . tells which food comply and which do not
. . . the manager or the cook (no chefs at QS locations) come out to talk
. . . they ATTEMPT to find something in the book the allergy person can eat
2) Unlike TS locations, they cannot accommodate all allergies.
3) They can only
. . . serve a "stock" hypoallergenic or prepared non-allergy meals
. . . add or deduct from the eatery's items available

Thanks for all the responses. I also emailed diet services and they were very fast with their response. Below is part of the email that they sent me. I am glad to hear that the chicken nuggets are good. She can also be picky but if there is enough sauce (ketchup) she will eat most anything!

The quick-service locations listed below have menu items or products that, upon request, may accommodate common food allergy or intolerance requirements.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park:
- Restaurantosaurus
- Flame Tree Barbecue
- Pizzafari
Disney's Hollywood Studios:
- Backlot Express
- Studios Catering Co.
- ABC Commissary
- Toy Story Pizza Planet
Epcot:
- Liberty Inn
- Sunshine Seasons
- Electric Umbrella
Magic Kingdom Park:
- Be Our Guest (Lunch Only)
- Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café
- Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café
- Columbia Harbor House
- The Pinocchio Village House
- Casey’s Corner

Not to be a downer, but they give you that same list regardless of your need and it essentially lists every large disney run CS location in the parks. It does narrow down expectations though. If you write and ask specifically a couple weeks before your trip they can give you a pdf of the specific allergy items the chefs have recently ordered, but the document is updated when they place orders so it isnt current for long.
