As I entered Pirates, I was greeted by a: Ahoy little redhead! Which the nerd in me loved ;) You know...me wants the redhead.

I tried to take pictures and mostly without using flash photography. Please bear with me as they are not the best.

As I exited the ride, my mom called me and said she had arrived in the MK and was waiting for me at our ADR: The Crystal Palace.

Just found your report. Love it and all the great photos. Cant wait to hear more.
:goodvibes

I love that you got called out as a redhead at Pirates! The dork in me would have loved that! :lmao:

For not using flash, your pictures turned out pretty good on Pirates. I normally don't even attempt to take them.

Yep, the dork in me was beaming. And without even writing it down, I still remember it hehe:rolleyes1

There may be plans for a trip in July 2012 at POR and December 2012 at POR. Stay tuned.

I came to the conclusion that it was still boring (to me) and that is desperately needed refurb. For example, the bedspread in the parents' house was disgusting. It was sooooooo dirty.

I know what you mean. I walk through it everytime hoping I'll like it more, but it's a bit boring. Although I'm not sure how they could really update it since the treehouse is based on what was built in the movies. I think a general cleaning would be nice though.

I then resumed my walk to me destination. I saw this on my way.

Ok, I loved the new version. And was kinda sad to see it go. Granted, I have never seen the original version. So I am really excited to see the new one. Sadly, it would not be opening while I was there..

They still have the original version in Disneyland. I did a tour out there and the tour guide showed us some of the original hand painted flowers. It was really neat to see the original.

I know WDW was seriously discussing retiring the Tiki Room in its entirety, but decided to reinvent it because it was Walt's favorite attraction. I'm not sure if Walt would approve of the new version, but I also don't think he would approve of keeping an out-dated attraction. What a conundrum!

Hey Christy! Sounds like you had a great morning in the MK! LOVE that you saw that flower. It was definitely your grandmother reminding you that she is always with you! Great pictures of the Treehouse. I don't ever remember doing it...maybe when I was a kid. It might have to go on the list of things to do next time!

That's one of the best things about Disney isn't it? All those little surprise memories lurking around corners? I love that aspect of a Disney vacation.

Did I lose all my followers?

I just found you! You can't have lost me yet!

Hey welcome! ;)

Upcoming plans are always fun! Can't wait to hear if the plans are solidified. ;)

July should be solidified. And even though I NEED a summer vacay.. it's been my dream to wake-up in WDW on Christmas so I may be even more excited about that trip. Although my mom and I already know which ADRs we want for July.

The morning show at MK looks like fun! I've still never managed to see it. Maybe that's a good reason to stay at the Contemporary. :rotfl:

I always sort of like looking at the Swiss Family Treehouse, but I have a hard time justifying the extra walking required. I know my feet will be tired by the end of the day and it seems like too many steps for something that's just okay.

I thought your Pirate pictures turned out pretty good. It's hard to get good shots in there!

It was in the morning and I guess that's the reason why I had the energy to climb all these steps.

Anything is a good reason to stay at the Contemporary to me ;)

I finally met up with my mom at the Crystal Palace. It was going to be our first time there, and we had heard good reviews... especially of the puffed french toast.

I checked us in and we barely waited 5 minutes.

We were called and escorted to our table by a very nice server. He was friendly and I did find that he totally fit in the "Pooh world". We were seated in the middle and the characters were already making their rounds.

We gave our drink order and the characters came in almost as soon as we were done. I think Winnie was even waiting for the server to be done since I can remember her saying:" Well I'll let you hang out with Pooh".

To give you an idea of where we were sitting, here's a picture. We were seated right under the banner.

The first character that came up was Pooh.

And then Tigger came by and played with my hair a little bit. I don't exactly remember if he played with my hair or if he brushed my hair with his paw. Sadly, that night I noticed that the picture had not worked. Oh well.

Then came my fave..... Eeyore!

And finally Piglet was there.

The food was very good. And we ate rather quickly, or lightly according to the server. I know that I did have a few pieces of puffed french toast since I loved it. It reminded me of donuts we used to get at a place in town. Yummy!

Needless to say, it's already on our list for our next future trip. Yes, we liked it that much! hehe

Yum!

After that, we walked around a bit and stumbled into my favorite guys. I just love them so much! It makes me happy to see them. If I worked at the MK, I'd want to be one of these girls!

After that ADR, we walked around a bit and then went back to the hotel. I was due in Epcot that afternoon to meet with a few others Disers. ;)

When I left off, we were going back to the hotel. My plan was to nap before the meet. However, I had no time to do that. So I decided to go take a quick swim as it was really hot. When I came back to the hotel, I realized that I had to leave right away for the meeting, or I would be late.

I went to wait on the monorail which took a while to get there. I switched monorails at the TTA and once again waited and waited. Time was ticking away. Then, the monorail arrived with.... a driver who was in training. We started towars Epcot and then stopped..... We had to go back to the station and then go back towards Epcot. Yep, I was going to be late. When I got to Future World, I was already 10 minutes late. I HATE it! I am never late! I was afraid that everyone would have left.

Luckily, when I got to the UK, our meeting place, everyone was still there. And waiting on me. I was so embarrassed.

We talked, exchanged gifts and started to look for a photopass photographer. Yep, can't find one when you really need one.

We finally did, and here we are.

It was fun. We had a blast talking. I felt so lucky to know these ladies. It was like hanging out with friends.

I went away with great gifts too. Here they are.

I remember that I stayed with the ladies a while. My mom called to see if I was planning on ever going back to the hotel hehe

When I did go back, we relaxed in the room. I might even have taken another dip in the pool, and gone to the gym.

It had been a great day ;)

Aw, that looks like fun! Wish I could've met up with you guys! Especially you and Wendy! :)
