October is our busiest month, it's terrible for a trip to be honest. But F&W is worth it

My parents are doing breakfast with us Sunday at Kona. And my brother is joining us for MNSSHP.

I found a picture of the Lamington on Disneyeveryday.com and it doesn't come close to looking like the Lamington on Wikipedia. Hmmm, that might be coming off the list... It's apparently supposed to be really finely shaved coconut, not shredded coconut like Disney's doing. Bummer.

We made it!

After a rather uneventful, but early flight, we made our way to Pop and checked in. We did Online Check-in, so our room was ready. I'm not entirely convinced that it's easier or better to do Online Check-in. From what I could see, they moved through the regular line much faster But our room was ready, possibly because they knew when we'd arrive? Who knows. So we dropped off our stuff and headed back to the food court. We were starving! (The byproduct of an early flight!)

We hit Everything Pop right after 11, so we had to wait for some of the stations to switch over from Breakfast. It caused my food to be ready wayyyy before my boyfriends. Bummer. But we survived. We were also able to pick up our mugs since we were on the QSDP. It was much easier to get the mugs here than at Coronado Springs. I'm happy to report that I now have a complete set of them!

I had heard a lot about the Alfredo Penne before we left, so of course I had to give it a try...

The rating?

It was good, but nothing special. The chicken was really moist and not dry, which was nice. But by the time I sat down to eat it, it was kind of luke warm and I think that might have been an issue. I enjoyed it, but I think next time I'd try something else.

For dessert I had the tie dye cheesecake (honestly, what else??)

It was okay. I found myself more concerned with whether or not my teeth would wind up being purple... Fine for what it was, but I don't know if I'd really recommend it to anyone.

My boyfriend had the Mediterrian Flatbread.

This had olives, feta, artichokes, etc. It was frankly, delicious.

The only problem was that when you picked it up everything fell off! And it threw off the timing of our food coming out together. I was definitely jealous of his choice.

He had the carrott cake for dessert. I think he also had the better dessert. It just had more flavor to it.

After lunch we explored the resort and took a few pictures:

I was cracking up over the song titles on the back of the 8-tracks.

And I had my very first towel animal on my trip...I was VERY excited!!

A final note about Everything Pop: I was thuroughly impressed with how well run the food court was on every visit. There are a lot of people at Pop and I think it's one of the best run QS operations on property.

Great start. I did notice the line for regular check-in moving faster but they also had 2X the CMs checking them in. I think that doing the online check-in all your info is already in the system and your packet is ready.

I liked the cheesecake too.. but didn't think it was over the top awesome. It was good... not great not horrible. Your BF's flatbread looks really good!!!!

I can't wait to hear more!
