Not the usual questions...I do know where the location is (unless it has changed since earlier this spring). What I can't remember is whether the FP+ area encompasses ALL of the area around the flagpole, or if those without FP+ are permitted anywhere in the area.
The reason I am asking is that I will have a marching band there (I am a group tour director) the second week of June. They are marching before the 3:00 parade, and I would like to get some great pics of them coming down Main Street. I would be happy to burn a FP+ to do that, but since we are staying offsite, all of the FP+ for FOF are gone for that day. I'll keep trying, but I would think people wouldn't generally cancel those.
I often have groups before the evening parade, and always stand at the edge of the hub to catch them coming up the street. And when I do have groups coming the other way, such as before FOF, I usually go up into the train station. I'd just like a different angle this time.
I can't get there early, because I go back with the group to prepare backstage, then CMs bring those of us not marching out into the park about 20 minutes before the group marches.
If I can snag a FP+, I'm all set. If not, I think I'll chat with the CMs nearby to ask their advice. It could be that with a smile and an explanation that I'll be leaving as soon as my group passes, they might allow me to take some pics in or near the FP+ area. I would never count on that, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Thanks for any insights!
